I’m curious if anyone here has experience with the Ultimea Skywave X100. I recently set one up in my living room and it’s my first time using a larger soundbar system with rear speakers and height channels.
Before this I was just using a basic soundbar and sub, which was fine for everyday TV, but movies always felt a little flat. With this system the biggest difference I noticed right away is that sound actually moves around the room now. Action scenes feel a lot more immersive, especially when the rear speakers kick in.
The bass is also stronger than I expected. The subwoofer is pretty big compared to most soundbar subs I’ve used, and I actually had to turn it down a bit after the first movie night.
Atmos content is interesting too. The up-firing speakers definitely add some sense of height with things like helicopters or storms. It’s obviously not the same as ceiling speakers, but it adds more depth than a normal soundbar.
Setup was surprisingly simple since most of it connects wirelessly. The only thing I had to plan for was power outlets for the rear speakers.
Overall I’ve been enjoying it so far, but I’m curious how it compares to other surround soundbars people here have used.
Has anyone else here tried this system or other multi-speaker soundbars with Atmos? I’d be interested to hear how they compare.
