Today's low was 29°f The high was 52°f. This afternoon Lil'Hive got active when the sun hit the landing board. Young Bees out on their 1st flight, doing orientation flights. I caught the tail end on video, will try to post some vid ;-)
I've been away from my hives for a while. Was volunteering at the super bowl for 7 days. After returning home looked at the Bottom trays, Varroa looks to be under control, Bees have been flying for a few hours the past several days when the sun was out. Saw loads of yellow and orange Pollen coming in, mostly on the Big Hive.
Later today I hope to check on feed and maybe peak in on my Underdog Lil'Hive-1, Temps could get 55 degrees, today, valentines, then rain starts tonight, and continues for the next 10 days. Hoping to see young Nurse Bees working in Lil'Hive
I plan to continue updates on Varroa treatments on my Hives. Also plan to try out, and document HiveGate Single Entrances on an Apimaye bottom, and BetterComb frames on several hives. Both purchased from www.betterbee.com/ (copy/paste - google wants DNA sample prior to enabling links)

Lil'Hive-4 is Queen Right! The Hive hatched queen is mated and just started laying eggs. Rain coming for a few days.
