Thanks to all the students and professionals who attended the first Black Visionary Vanguard meeting of the year!! It was a great conversation!! Many more people than this came through. This is just all the people who turned their camera on! Thanks to the students for showing up for yourselves! Thanks to the professionals for showing up! I thought there were going to be more professionals than students at first! 🤣
I think it shows how much our community wants to help each other! I look forward to everything we get into for the rest of the year! We're dedicated to making sure our students can step outside of their boxes and be better prepared for their futures!

SERIES OF EVENTS:
1) People have been talking about the "Gen Z stare" and multiple ways younger people's social and soft skills are lacking.
2) I posted a TikTok video wondering what the solution to this will be. While Gen X and Millennials are continuing to get Master's and PhDs, will there be "finishing schools" for Gen Z?
3) I realized that last year I created a Discord channel for black students studying animation, so I immediately asked them about their availability for a networking workshop.
4) Today, I held a session and next week, I'll host another one since the response was split on availability.
5) I forgot to take picture on Zoom because I'm a horrible Millennial. 🤣
