According to the internet (which has been awkwardly silent on the matter for over a month now), Roblox made over 100 million games unplayable, and apparently made some changes to their moderation system. I also personally feel terrible for leaving my friends in the dust. I will begin to revisit the platform from time to time, just to keep some friends happy and also to gather a general idea of what the platform is actually doing about the situation. I'm also posting because I want to keep my channel alive (wow, shocker) and I want to upload again on Halloween or Christmas.

Edit for TLDR: David Baszucki needs to step down. I've been on Roblox for over 12 years, but his platform is treacherously misleading to the safety of its youth.

I did not read the newsroom announcement on Roblox's corporate blog before my last post. Today I gave it a solid read. I also recognise that Roblox has many employees and developers who might actually be passionate about making Roblox a better platform. I disagree with the actions and suggestions of the CEO of Roblox, but there are real human beings working behind the walls of this company and in the studios that develop games for them. Some of those games are great. Go check out "Space Sailors"

Good news? I am cautiously optimistic. They are aware of user concerns with their moderation efforts. They appreciate "good faith" reports, but they cannot take action on platforms where they don't have access to internal metadata of chats and avatars to prove the report is legitimate. I accept that. I really get it. Screenshots can be edited, even to portray role reversal. They have "trusted flaggers" like NGOs and organisations whose reports they act on immediately.

Bad news? It's impossible to know if they're apologising or just covering the legal bases, but it's most likely to be the latter option. Their report system is mostly inefficient. The report menu needs more choices. They did not mention experiences at all. I have seen questionable items in the Roblox Studio Toolbox. They need to fix SO MUCH MORE than has already been discussed.

Needless to say, I haven't been editing or uploading for a few months. I'll get back to it eventually, but I'm typing this all out to my (very... very small) community because it needs to be seen. In light of recent events, I will not be uploading Roblox content to my channel until it's been established beyond a reasonable doubt, that Roblox is making a tangible effort to improve their moderation, to a degree which ensures the comfort and well-being of its users but which does not infringe upon the rights of those who access Roblox such as the right to privacy and the right to freedom of information. I will occasionally join friends on Roblox (because some of our favourite games cannot be found elsewhere unfortunately) but I will not be playing solo.

Today is the second anniversary of me being friends with ‪@Wip3out25‬, sorry I don't have an upload but I had a really long math assignment today. I suppose last week's Assetto Corsa video is the closest thing we'll get to a nostalgic "woo-hoo"
