YouTube is doing its thing again and has age restricted my Day 1 Vlog from the WSOP for 'promotion of regulated goods'. This means that it will not show up on any of your feeds, so if you want to see it then you'll need to be logged in to your account, and navigate to my channel page.

I cannot begin to describe how demoralising this entire situation is, and at this point I am not sure if Day 2/3 will be made, because the reality is no one is going to see these vlogs. The discoverability is tanked, and I'll make no money from any of them.

Appreciate anyone who finds a way to watch. GGs I guess.

Today, at 5pm BST, I am bringing back Top 10 Hands.

I previously said in my video about the current issues facing YouTube poker content creators that I would not be uploading videos until we saw a resolution. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, nothing has changed. But I have had a lot of people messaging me and commenting that they miss Top 10 and want to see it back, and that warms my cold, dead heart.

I expect today's video to experience the same issues as last time, so please, when you see Top 10 pop up today, give it some love with a watch, like and comment. I'd really appreciate it.

If it doesn't show up for you, that means YouTube is doing its best to shield you from the terrors of poker hands, so if you want to see it you'll have to manually search for it in my channel page from 5pm.

Today I intended to release the newest Punt or No Punt with ‪@davidkayepoker‬ but unfortunately this is now looking unlikely.

For the past 2 months, every short I have uploaded has been demonetized by YouTube, and now it’s happening to my full length videos as well. You’ll be aware that I use some colourful language in my content, but YouTube’s current rules don’t prohibit this. Regardless of the amount of swearing in my uploads, they become instantly ineligible for regular ad revenue. There has been no specific reasoning for this from YouTube beyond generic responses regarding guidelines.

Bar one, every single one of these videos has been made eligible for ad revenue after manual review by YouTube (around 20 videos and counting). But these reviews take several days, sometimes up to a week. I make next to no money until this review is completed, and revenue is not reimbursed. My recent Top 10 of All Time video was demonetized immediately on Sunday, but I released it anyway. I have made £1 on this video since release after manual review found no issue with the content. I use my YouTube revenue to invest in editing and thumbnails for the channel, and I can’t continue to do this under these conditions.

The only workaround I have is to upload content a week early, appeal the demonetization and then release the video once it’s been cleared. This is difficult to do when working with an editor with a schedule, but it’s the only option I have while this nonsense is going on. I just wanted to let everyone know that this is the reason for any gap in uploads in the coming weeks. I’m incredibly frustrated, but I hope everything sorts itself out soon so I can get back to a normal schedule.

We've hit 10,000 subscribers on YouTube!

I honestly never could have imagined to hit this milestone and I want to thank everyone that's ever watched, liked or commented on a video over the past 3 or so years. I can't thank all of you enough for the support and it really means a huge amount to me.

So I guess I better give something back, right? Actions are louder than words after all.

To celebrate, I will be releasing the Bean at 500z: Part 2 highlights TOMORROW, that's Wednesday 8th March, at 6pm GMT! I absolutely can't wait for you all to see it as this time I left it in the very capable hands of my editor, Dan, and the result is incredible.
