Here is singer-songwriter, Shan Carballo, performing "Hold On," the song that inspired the Hold On Campaign for Suicide Prevention. Dr. Diane Kaufman's poem, "Heartbreak Times Infinity," written in response to the suicide death of Stephen Boss aka tWitch, is the heart of the lyric. Update on the "Lift You Up" song and my trying to get it to Ashley Judd. I reached via email to one of the sponsors of the Innovations in Psychotherapy Conference that will feature Ashley Judd and grief expert David Kessler. I asked customer service if they could forward my message to a certain lead person on the planning committee. Amazingly, they did, and that person emailed me today to ask why I wanted to speak with him. I explained in detail all about the song and how it was inspired, that it's won international awards, and that I believe Ashley Judd would want to hear it, and as a suicide prevention mental health advocate, she might even want to use "Lift You Up" in her speaking engagements. I suggested grief expert David Kessler, who is especially interested in creating "meaning" from loss, might find value in the song. I also shared about the Hold On Suicide Prevention Outreach Campaign. I hope I hear back with good news...
