Just finished Patapon 1+2 , its almost GREAT.



Lets start positives, The higher frame rate is great, Patapon 1 and 2 never felt better to play, the new difficulty options are a GREAT addition, instead of it affect timing of the beat, it actually changes the stats of enemies, some bosses and missions are a little overtuned(cough cough patapon 1 zaknel and patapon 2 babaan gate) but those are far and few between, with patapon 2 on hard mode the hero has to hit 2-3 perfect beats in a row to enter his super mode which is a GREAT nerf, he can build up those perfect beats with EVERY command, so what i'd change is that only the attack and defend commands can build up that super mode. And the setting to change the timing of the beat is a nice change too.



Now Negatives, the audio is still compressed, why?, just why, this is 2nd re-release and you cant give us uncompressed audio?, honestly if the audio was uncompressed I'd give this collection like a 10 out of 10 honestly because if Patapon 3 can have uncompressed audio(on the same console btw), then Patapon 1 and 2 can have it, another thing is that there are graphical errors from the PS4 remaster still in the game, they fixed some of them but others like ban the tatepon not holding his sword right and queen kharma's blinking being messed up. another negative i don't mind personally but others will is that while the higher framerate is really nice, all the animations are still at 30 fps which is weird, they could increase the in-game framerate beyond 30fps but not the animations. Oh and this is probably just me but in one mission i got completely softlocked, like things were normal as usual and then the screen went to black and i couldn't do anything, i had to reset the game.



So yeah a bit of wasted potential but still good, i'd give it a 7/10, def pick it up on a sale.

30 dollar remaster and they still have this graphical error, first impressions are not great so far.

WHAT IS THIS TIMELIME WE LIVE IN?, PATAPON 1 AND 2 COMING TO SWITCH?, but from what it looks like its just the remasters on switch with the SAME COMPRESSED AUDIO, IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO ADD UNCOMPRESSED AUDIO. AND WHERES PATAPON 3?????, like its cool dont get me wrong but, i wont fully judge til its out.

Also New patapon video soon, this one is gon be crazy.

Yoooooooo!!! they bringing patapon 3 to ps5 wow. I wonder if its gonna have online features or not because if it doesn't thats gonna suck. (armored core is also pretty cool)
