England appointed a Minister of Loneliness to address the growing crisis of social isolation.
Why are we surrounded by morden comforts yet feel more alone than ever?
What if we can feel warm and supported, uplift, and connection all the time?
What if, instead of running away from our internal thoughts, we run towards them? What if we grow comfortable with our thoughts, even our dimons, and use that power as our leverage to face life's day-to-day challenges?
What if the tools that allow us to feel less lonely have already existed, and just need to be rediscover?
I for one, would love to be less lonely, and more connected.
I think you will as well.
Let's relearn the tools and reconnect.

"Your dad is pre-diabotic."
That's the one line interpretation from the nurse after my 64 year father's wellness exam.
I later found out that pre-disbotic simply means his condition is not serious enough for him to be put on medication. The chances of a pre-dibotic patient to be put on life-long medication sigfincatly increased, along with other major life complications (e.g., worsen condition, amputation).
Feels like the condition deserve more than one line of explanation.
Especially considering the fact that the condition is reversible, through mindset shift and life style adjustments.
The mindset shift being instead of waiting and quietly accepting that it is only downhill from here, refuse.
Refuse to stand still and waiting, literally. Get moving!
Refuse to accept that declining is inevitable. Take control of our health. Improve it.
Sleep well. Eat better. Excersie more. Take preventative health screening.
We get healthier through movement.
Today, my dad and I are much better informed, in part thanks to Dr. Attia's book Outlive.
I had so much fun reading the book. Hope you do as well.

Why do negative feelings exist? Why can't we be happy, content, and positive all the time?
I believe that the negative feelings are here to remind us how good life can be. That to reach the next level of "life well lived," we need to acknowledge the negative feelings (instead pretending that they don't exist), and look inward to find out the causes for the feelings.
Once we find out the causes, we can identify ways to address them, and find purpose and meaning in the process.
As I dementraoted in the video about envy, addressing negative feelings are never fun, but they are useful. This introspective approach keeps us honest, and most importantly, it keeps us moving forward instead of feeling stuck in the moment.
In the video, I shared three questions I ask myself in my quest to address envy. I hope this is helpful to you too.

Why do I think that declining is inevitable after age 40?
Really. Why?
My body might be aching. I might lose focus more often. I might lose some of my ambition in changing the world. But just because my daily life is becoming more chaotic, and because my responsibilities as a mother, daughter, and professional are increasing, does not give me an excuse to accept that decline is inevitable.
In fact, aging is inevitable, but decline is not.
Not if you choose to fight. Fight to stay healthy. Fight to become a better version of yourself.
In his book "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life," Dr. Daniel Amen taught us to do precisely that. How to actively manage your brain health and health in general. How to understand your brain patterns, so you can work with your physician and develop personalized treatments for yourself.
Take an active approach to your brain health. See what happens next. #brainhealth #healthyliving #habits
