A beggar had been sitting by the side of a road for over thirty years. One day, a stranger walked by. “Spare some change?” mumbled the beggar, holding out his old baseball cap. “I have nothing to give you,” said the stranger. Then he asked: “What’s that you are sitting on?” “Nothing,” replied the beggar. “Just an old box. I have been sitting on it for as long as I can remember.” “Ever looked inside?” asked the stranger. “No,” said the beggar. “What’s the point? There’s nothing in there.” “Have a look inside,” insisted the stranger.

The beggar managed to pry open the lid. With astonishment, disbelief, and elation, he saw that the box was filled with gold.

I am that stranger who has nothing to give you and who is telling you to look inside. Not inside any box, as in the parable, but somewhere even closer: inside yourself.”

When you practice Zen, it has to be here and now, it has to be about yourself. Don’t let Zen become a rumor that has nothing to do with you.

Zen is the buddha that we form out of our raw flesh.zen means putting into practice that which cannot be thought.Zen is the dharma-switch that turns on the whole universe.

Simply doing something [shikan] means doing it now, on the spot. It means not wasting the little time you have in life.When somebody asks me what zen is good for, I say that zen isn’t good for anything at all. Absolutely nothing! This “good for nothing” has got to sink into your flesh and bones until you’re truly practicing what’s good for nothing.

What’s running around satisfying your desires good for? What is gambling good for? And dancing? What is it good for to get worked up over winning or losing in baseball? It’s all good for absolutely nothing! That’s why nothing is as sensible as sitting silently in zen. In the world, “good for nothing”.

There's no place in the universe that is not a buddhafield and nothing that is not Buddha. But we can't see that because the eye is clouded by anguish, illusion and delusion. The absolute and the relative don't change from time to time and place to place.

Everything is the great Light; but it's just as dark to a person with the eye closed as it is brilliant to a person with the eye open.

Don’t whine.Just Relax Open up the Eye and sit in Awareness!

Remember this Kenyan runner Abel Mutai who was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped, thinking he had completed the race. A Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening, started shouting at the Kenyan to continue running. Mutai didn't know Spanish and didn't understand. Realizing what was taking place, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.

A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win."

The journalist insisted, "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his." The journalist insisted again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him and replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal? What would my mother think of that?"

Values are passed on from generation to generation. What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways and means to win. Instead, let us pass on the beauty and humanity of a helping hand. Because honesty and ethics are winning!

Wake Up Humanity

We have the power to change the things that must be changed. The people have the power to stand against injustice and rise into liberation.

Sometimes many of us may think “what can I do I’m just one person”, but it’s important we learn to shift our perception on that. As that very thought actually suppresses our true potential. Our thoughts are not just thoughts, they actually play a part in shaping and affecting our world around us.

No matter how big or small your deeds may seem, it all adds up and your actions do matter. Once we put our hearts and spirit to it, then we can help heal this world on a tremendous scale. We all have a Divine spark within us, that once awakened, we can do beautiful things.

The mere act of listening to your conscience, to awakening your consciousness and taking action to help heal the world, will open up doorways to more opportunities, that has potential to create small or huge benevolent impacts for the earth.

So will you stand and help heal the world? To help others and stand against darkness comes in many ways.

We do this through courage. Through truth. Through compassion. Through embodying virtue. Through non compliance of tyranny. Through selflessness. Through awareness. Through dignity. Through unconditional love. Through knowledge. Through faith in true God. Through unity of goodness. Through living in harmony with Mother Earth. And of course, we MUST apply WISDOM with all these things that is mentioned here.

We humans can create a beautiful world, and have the ability to organically evolve into higher states of awareness, against all manipulation by other species. But we must choose that in everything we do and be.

You own nothing you lose nothing, if you buy land or buy a house you have only paid rent for the remaining years you have on Earth. None of them belong to you. If you buy a car you have only paid a transport for the period the car will last or for the period you will last, it doesn't belong to you.

If you marry a spouse you have only got company until circumstances or death do you part. No one owns the other , If you have money. You have only a masked value to purchase what you want for your remaining number of years on Earth .The notes belong to the central bank.

If you work and retire, your pension is only for life. after your life It stops, Even if you eat and get filled with the food you take in, your belly isn't yours you must defecate it back to Earth.The body itself which you cherish so highly doesn't belong to you.The Earth will certainly reclaim its bits when the loan is due.

Even the life we live is borrowed and surely will be returned.So let us not be afraid of losing anything in this life. Because we do not own anything here. ‪@WakeUpHumanity‬

A plant is not thinking: “Tomorrow I will put a new leaf to the north and then next week when it rains I will grow a metre taller”. Its existence is just unfolding out of itself spontaneously, naturally, unplanned.

Whatever comes let it come, whatever stays let stay, what goes let go, always keep Quiet, and always adore Self: this is the essence of living skillfully in the world of appearance. During all activities of life is to accept whatever comes and not care about what does not come. Things will come so enjoy them and be happy Let the play happen by the Supreme Power; you will be taken care of.

Don’t be so quick to believe in the mind’s projections. You are not the mind. Don’t come under its spell. The mind is a great magician. It has hypnotised 7 billion human beings. The power to observe with detachment, to recognise that all phenomena are transient appearances and that oneself is the formless witness timeless and ever-perfect.

Be free to be happy, love has no traps. If you are happy all will be happy, if you suffer, all will suffer, if your mind smells bad others will be affected. Keep yourself happy in peace, Light, Wisdom, Consciousness. This is your responsibility. Be happy and have compassion and live hand and hand with nature. This makes birth worthwhile. Start from Heart and see that all arises from Heart. This is a secret few recognise. Always do this, Always be This.
