I mentioned in my last post that I spent about 3 weeks working on a side project as a break from the main vid.
I originally thought about putting it here, but it’s a bit of a departure from the usual Welsh history focus.
While the last chapter features some history in the usual style, I’ve instead decided to host these different videos on a separate channel, so that this one stays dedicated to what you originally subscribed for.

Hello :)
My apologies, life got in the way of the last video a lot, as you may have been able to tell. I thought it’d been like 2 months, not 4, sorry.
Progress has been ongoing, but slow. I took like 3 weeks off to work on a slightly different project in an effort to avoid burnout. I’ll share that at some point as while it’s similar, it doesn’t really fit this channel, but apart from that it’s just been slow going on the main video.
Rest assured, it is coming, and hopefully relatively soon (although 3 months would be relatively soon at this point, whoops). But it’ll be sooner than that!
Thank you for your continued support, I was very pleasantly surprised to discover the channel had not in fact entirely died in my lengthy absence, and instead had grown by over 15,000 subscribers, so thank you for your vote of confidence. I’ve missed dedicating most of my energy to YouTube, so hopefully I’ll be able to start getting back to that now.
Sorry again for the long delay, time tends to leave me without letting me know it’s going, an action I wish my disgraced son would also partake in.

This thing has taken LUDICROUSLY long to write.
I originally started it in 2023, completed it in 2024, tried to make it at the start of 2025, and have now finally fully rewritten it over the past several weeks.
I don't know what it is about this topic that makes it take so long, but I am still going to endeavour to complete it by the end of the year.
I have no idea if I will succeed, but I will try!

After stalling on the script for a couple of days, 'One of the Oldest Stories in the World' has now been fully completed at the grand old hour of 1AM.
Medieval Welsh history fans will be eating well, Doggerland fans will be pleasantly surprised, and even your classic Gilgamesh fans may enjoy the couple of paragraphs I've thrown in there.
People who do not enjoy my videos will, as expected, not enjoy this one.
You also may not like it if you're not a fan of the ocean...

I’m hoping to finish writing my video about ‘One of the Oldest Stories in the World’ over the next couple of days.
It’s been one I’ve wanted to make for a while, and the first poll it won had 10,000 votes on it, which I think is the highest I’ve ever seen!
