My name is Amanda. At age 42 I learned that I was Autistic with ADHD and that both my kids were also Autistic and ADHD. This changed A LOT.
This channel started out as a Cooking Channel, but has morphed into a Product Review Channel. I am keeping my food videos up, but at least for now, stepping away from posting cooking content. One day, I'd love to make videos addressing food issues that many Autistic and ADHD people have. But for now, I'm going to focus on reviewing products that I either buy myself, or are given to me by companies to review. I will always give my honest impressions!
I love doing product reviews on the things I find useful in my house. My Neurodivergent Brain loves giving all the details I can to explain the pros and cons of different products!

Hey guys! I miss making videod for the channel, but my recovery after foot surgery has been so slow, and last week I took a bad fall just as I was starting to walk again that set the recovery back about a month the doctor thinks. I've managed to still cook simple meals with my knee scooter, but it takes all the energy I have and filming while cooking is just too much for now. But hopefully soon! I've been using Hello Fresh kits to help me in the kitchen quite a bit. (non-sponsored) I do have a video review of my first hello fresh box on the channel. But otherwise, simple meals have kept me going.
Photos: 1. easy refried bean, cheese and (leftover) rice burrito. 2. Chicken with a mango salsa topper & rice. 3. Ramen Inspired ham soup with 6 min eggs. 4. Baked chicken with a bread & cheese crumb topping, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies 5. Chicken Coconut Curry (2,4&5 were Hello Fresh meals)

The recovery process from my foot surgery has felt so long. I have been able to cook a few times a week but it is a challenge. I usually just scoot around on my scooter but it does take a lot of balance. Tonight I pulled a barstool up to the counter to do some of my chopping and stirring. We've been using Hello Fresh kits which have been helpful because all the ingredients are in a bundle and I don't have to move to the pantry and fridge over and over. Also most of their meals are fairly simple (this curry dish was a bit more involved, an di modified it to simplify it even more.) My scooter is still right next to me, so when I get up from the chair, onto my knee scooter I go!
Two photos of me. One I'm sitting in a barstool chopping a potato and the other I'm grating an onion over a pot on the stove. I am wearing an all purple outfit of light purple jogging pants and a darker purple v neck shirt. The third photo is the finished chicken and potato curry over yellow rice.

Hey all! I had foot surgery last week and I'm mostly in bed recovering. But I've been (hopefully) putting together a fun video on foods I've been making with limited mobility. I can't wait to film a few more segments, get it edited and uploaded. Recovery is going well. Hopefully I'll be walking again soon! ~ Amanda

I've been in a cooking funk for a bit, but hopefully I'm turning the corner on it. I love cooking, but every once in awhile I just get blah about it. I think the Rebrand of my channel actually made me nervous and then nothing sounded good enough to cook! Ah the life of an Autistic /ADHD.
I've had steak on the menu for three weeks now, I ended up having to out it in the freezer after not cooking it when I first bought it. But hopefully this week it'll actually get made! I don't buy steak often and didn't want to just make a poor attempt at it. When you've got a Neurospicy mind, you need to learn to give yourself grace and go where your brain leads sometimes!
Here's this week's potential menu 🤞
Pizza
Steak and Potatoes
Chicken Shawarma
Pork Stir Fry
Sausage and Cabbage
Gyros

I like to have a loose plan going into the week. I modify from there. The Chicken Paella, is a newish dish for my neurodiverse family so it'll be interesting to see if they like it. Usually anything new in of itself is a NO just because sameness and routine are always preferred. I on the other hand, like variety in foods so I like to try new recipes on occasion.
Also, I think I like the idea of cornbread more than actual cornbread so we'll see if it actually gets made!

Formally DITTDOTT! A new diagnosis and a NEW outlook on life! I hope you all stick around, not much will actually change except a positive slant towards inclusive eating.
My name is Amanda Dittlinger. At age 42 I learned that I was Autistic with ADHD and that both my kids were also Autistic and ADHD. This changed A LOT.
My goal is to develop a healthy relationship with food. There are no picky eaters at my table. I've got family with food sensitivities. It takes hardly any extra effort to make the accommodations I need so there isn't food distress around our table. Dinner time is spent talking about fun things instead of creating food trauma. And that is a WIN!
I'm going to show you how to make simple foods at home, no recipes needed, that show you how you can accommodate all the taste buds around your table. I'm not a food therapist, just a mom with a lot of experience!
I also love doing product reviews on the things I find useful in my house. My Neurodivergent Brain loves giving all the details I can to explain the pros and cons of different products!
UPDATE: Repost due to a Typo in the graphic first go around.

Happy New Year all! This graphic spoke to me. As some of you know a few months ago I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. The awareness about what Autism is and isn't is so vast that even many doctors don't recognize the traits enough to recommend their patients for evaluation. This has led to 1000s of women especially to go undiagnosed. Women are more apt to do something called Masking. That is try to chameleon ourselves into being Neurotypical.
The problem is our brains aren't wired for being Neurotypical so Masking leads to major mental health problems. So this year, I'm working on learning to Just Be Myself and not worry if I may act a little odd.
Autism is a disability, an invisible one in my case. So I want to thank you for your continued support of THIS disabled content creator. I've never been able to work a regular job. Being a YouTuber is a way for me to bring in a small pay check and it means the world to me.
What are your goals for 2023?
