This is SO real...I've been trying to verbalize all of this. I used to be so highly functioning and executive function top tier...now, just people are so exhausting. The masking, the sheer fakeness, anxiety- catastrophizing thoughts, it's not easy. But, we can survive and come out on the other side of this. Hope.

Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath is a cognitive neuroscientist and educator known for his research on how digital technology affects brain development and learning in children. He argues that increased screen-based learning often hampers key cognitive functions like memory, attention, and critical thinking.
Key Takeaways from His Research:
Screen vs. Traditional Learning: Deep conceptual understanding relies heavily on human interaction and hands-on methods (like handwriting) rather than passive, screen-based tasks.
Impact on Brain Development: Over-reliance on digital devices in educational settings can diminish long-term retention and focus.
Policy & Advocacy: His insights gained significant attention following his testimony before the U.S. Senate, where he warned against the unrestricted use of school-issued devicesโ€”fueling the broader national debate on tech in the classroom.
