Elevators, Trains, And More
Hello everyone! As the year comes to a close, I would like to share some upcoming events and wish everyone a happy holiday, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
One of our upcoming events is the 2025 Elevators, Trains, And More ET&M Tour. We will still be taking the same train (Amtrak Capitol Corridor #528), but some things have changed. Amtrak has renamed the San Joaquins train to the Gold Runner. The origin and destination of the Gold Runner is the same (Oakland to Bakersfield and vice versa). Don’t forget to join us for a day of train photography, food, and of course, FUN!!!
Another one of our upcoming December events is a day in San Francisco. This time, we will be riding the Muni route 33 Ashbury/18th Street. Also, we may be going to Subpar Mini Golf to enjoy a nice round of putt-putt golf. Other things we may be doing include:
- Riding the J Church light rail route to Balboa Park station
- Visiting Forest Hill station (deepest Muni Metro station)
- Eating lunch at Stonestown
The 2025 ET&M Year In Review is in the works behind the scenes in the studio. This year, we're switching things up. Instead of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, we will have a tier ranking (S, A, B, C, and D). The list is as follows:
- S tier: the return of SMART 104
- A tier: Sonoma County Transit Ford StarCraft #129 on Route 10
- B tier: first day of service on the C40LFRs
- C tier: 3-car SMART train
- D tier: unknown at present
We hope to see you all at the upcoming video premiere at the end of December!
