AI-generated video is getting less and less obviously fake, but there's still one obvious giveaway: current AI models can only generate video at 24 fps. So if you come across 24 fps video in situations where higher frame rates like 30 or 60 fps are more normally expected, keep your guard up and be a little suspicious of its authenticity. And if you're currently using 24 fps for non-cinematic video content, you might want to rethink that decision.

I'm fine with YouTubers having sponsorships. It pays the bills. But if they're forcing you to include a lengthy in-video sponsor message with no time stamps or on-screen indication viewers can use to easily skip past it, AND to put an ad for them at the top of the video's description, AND to post yet another ad for them as a pinned comment, that's going too far. Tell them no.

Someone found the master tape to the Oldsmobile jingle I've used a few times in my videos, and it's awesome. The music-only version is a great piece of uplifting 1980s production music. Listen closely for the tail end of a count-off just before it starts. Too bad it's only in mono!

For the people saying it's remarkable that I made a video about something as low-tech as candles, LGR made a 10-minute video about a filing cabinet:

Do people really not get the point I was trying to make by reading "2,000's" as "two comma thousand apostrophe S"? Even the scammers at TOS were smart enough to figure that out, since they changed it to "2000s" on their web site.
And for the record, you'll never hear AI voices use a stereo microphone with natural room ambience/background noise, like I do. Of course some people complain about that as well, but at least that way you know it's a real recording.
