Bimala sustained a nasal bone fracture during the SAFF campaign in Goa.

While such injuries are typically addressed with surgery between 5-14 days post-injury, persistent bleeding made her unfit to fly. Following expert consultation, a decision was taken to proceed with full treatment in Goa.

AFC doctor, through Dr. Pawan Rane, successfully performed the nasal bone fracture reduction surgery at Manipal Hospital.

From the moment of injury to her ongoing recovery journey, our National Women’s Team Physio, Ms. Shila Giri, has stood firmly by Bimala’s side ❤️ 🙏

From her beginnings as Jhapa FC Team Physio to her role with the Nepal National Women’s Team, Shila’s journey has been outstanding 👏 👏 She has gone far beyond the call of duty, staying constantly with Bimala, managing every aspect of her care with compassion and professionalism. Shila has truly been a pillar of strength, caring for her like family. 🤩
