After watching some videos about Chibsons, I started looking around ebay. I found a replica of the 'Greeny' Les Paul, now owned by Kirk Hammett.
The description claimed it was "one piece, neck and body", and this phrase was used by many of the Chibson vendors. I asked several sellers to clarify, assuming it meant a one-piece body, and a one-piece neck.
The one person that replied assured me this guitar was cut from a single slab of mahogany, neck and body as one piece. So I bought it out of sheer curiosity. $240
At first glance, it looked like the neck was glued, even though the wood figure/grain seemed to match. It's hard to tell from the image. I removed the pickups to get a closer look. As you can see, no tenon joint in the neck cavity, and nothing in the bridge cavity. I think the appearance of the glued neck may just be sanding/tool marks. (possibly intentional?)
Bedunk'd

Has anyone else encountered this with a Chibson?
