Which option best aligns with your religious/spiritual views?

These are some of the sorts of questions I am going to include in the 2025 census, we're gonna learn a lot of interesting information. Let me know other relevant questions regarding religion, culture or otherwise that you think would be valuable to include

Happy New Year and happy 2025 to all of the loyal Masamen

Here's an interesting (or not so interesting) anecdote that ties into larger social patterns evolving in my country and many others. On New Year’s Eve, I went out with some friends to a club in downtown Dallas, arriving around 10:30. This is the first time I went to a club in nearly a year so we were all pretty shocked to see just how few people there were, and by the time midnight came, the dance floor was still pretty vacant and we were the youngest people (late 20s) in the entire club. Even during the height of the c-virus I saw more people in the bars and clubs. After doing some research, it seems that this is not a unique phenomenon to my area, as across many regions of the Western World, the nightclub scene has been drastically declining. The nightlife in your area may be thriving, but this is just a general trend propagating throughout urban centers around the world and will affect your region sooner or later to some degree.

We actually went to a Spanish-speaking club since my friend’s wife is Peruvian and this is even more alarming since Latin clubs in Texas are generally far more vibrant and lively than most others. I’ve never enjoyed clubbing or going to bars and only go when my group of friends drag me along so it’s decline is no real loss for me, however this is only one aspect of the degradation of traditional social and cultural institutions in the West over the past couple decades. Everyone wants to blame the corporatocracy or whatnot (and yeah, maybe that has a role), but I think the reason boils down to the fact that we live profoundly unnatural lifestyles when compared to the daily lives of individuals from even just a single generation ago.

Why are we surprised that our birthrates and marriage rates are nosediving to catastrophic levels and our youth is plagued with mental illness and addiction? My friend and I were discussing this last night as he and his wife have a young child that I believe they are doing a phenomenal job raising in our current environment saturated with iPad babies. These are not problems unique to the Western World, as during my travels I’ve noticed the sorts of modern lifestyles prevalent in my country slowly seeping into higher income communities in many regions around the world, and with it comes all the “first world problems” that have damaged our society so severely.

“First world problems” are not trivial. We’ve got serious issues that we need to address if we wish to prevent further harming our civilization, and more importantly, the people who make up those civilizations. Thanks for reading my schizopost. Happy New Year and let’s hope everyone’s 2025 is the best that it can be!

Good progress so far on my series of maps over the distribution of human phenotypes worldwide! Can you think of any phenotypic traits that could be mapped out other than eye color, hair color, skin color, height or BMI? I'll be opening up the newest Masamen census soon, might include these as questions as well

If you would like to donate to help me out so I can get the hardware and software I need to make advanced maps like this, check it out here:

It's pretty difficult to make these kinds of maps with my current setup but I can still do it, it will just take longer, so donating helps me release them quicker. Thank you so much fellas, you have no idea what it means to me

Very interesting how that breaks down. Wouldn't have expected Alaska to be in the Texas camp

I'm sure the last poll was also likely geographically correlated (I know I asked which state was the most "iconic"not "well-known")

Over 75% of the global population currently has black hair and/or dark brown eyes. Keep in mind these figures are debatable and greatly vary by source due to the fluid nature of hair and eye color, which can change throughout an individual’s lifetime and often don’t fully fall into a certain category. Among men of European descent, beard hair is often a few shades lighter or darker than hair on top of the head. White irises due to blindness and gray/white hair due to aging are not included in these figures. By age 50, around half of men experience significant hair loss and 80% will experience significant hair loss in their lifetime. 75% of people lose significant amount of color in their hair by age 65, with the average onset of gray hair starting in the mid-30s for men of non-African descent and mid-40s for men of African descent, with women naturally turning gray and losing hair at a slower pace than men.

I’m sure we’ve all seen a Punnett Square from grade school education, but it’s not entirely accurate as it’s really only true for populations that have the gene for light-colored eyes (largely those of European or Middle Eastern descent), which the vast majority of African and Asian populations do not have. New mutations can spontaneously occur in these unmixed populations that can give them light-colored eyes but this is extremely uncommon. I am mapping these traits as we speak to better showcase the appearances of humanity across the world.

Please donate to help the cause. Thank you

Updates...

STG: Syrian Transitional Government, most of the remaining Syrian forces that have toppled the Assad Dynasty have formed a transitional government with Mohammed al-Bashir, coming from the Syrian Salvation Government named as Prime Minister of Syria, replacing incumbent Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali, who had been Prime Minister under Assad from September to December of this year. President of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces stated that free elections would be established after an 18 month transitional period.

SNA, backed by Turkey, takes all of the territory of the SDF West of the Euphrates River near Manbij. The SFA expands it's territory. Whether free elections really will be held in 18 months is up to anyone's guess.
