Hi, I'm Sam.
I created this channel to share fast drawing tips.
I'm gonna make full videos about different art topics soon.

Here are 8 techniques for digital and traditional art, which allow you too build grid and draw in perspective:

IN DIGITAL:
- using the "polygon tool" in Photoshop

- A better way in Photoshop: the "Pen Tool" and "Direct Selection Tool"
- Cool plugin for drawing in Photoshop
- Clip Studio: how to use perspective ruler

ON PAPER:
- the "tape" method (the link below)

- the "thread" method (the link below)
- The Brewer Method in 1-point perspective
- The Brewer Method in 2-point perspective
- The Brewer Method in 3-point perspective
- From sketch to paper
- The Tracing Method

[step-by-step] HOW TO DRAW A ROW OF EQUAL TILES IN PERSPECTIVE
CLAY / SAND STONE MATERIAL PAINTING ON MY PATREON: www.patreon.com/posts/step-by-step-how-144034508?u…

Step 1: Just draw the first tile of any size you need. If you need a perfect square let me know in the comments.
Step 2: Split the tile by diagonals to find a center point.
Step 3: This gives you a middle line, just send the guide from the center point to the vanishing point.
Step 4: Draw a diagonal from the closer corner through the midpoint all the way to the perspective guide.
Step 5: This is your next tile!
Step 6: Just repeat this as many times as you really need.
Step 7: Send the height guides to the vanishing point.
Step 8: The vertical lines will show you the top faces of the tiles.
Step 9: Just draw the tops using them and horizontal lines. Vertical and horizontal edges stay true in 1-point perspective.
Step 10: Finish the tiles! *the painting step-by-step with brushes is on my Patreon.

[step-by-step]: HOW TO DRAW SHADOW ON A RAMP FROM A STICK
More on my Patreon:
www.patreon.com/posts/step-by-step-how-143427976?u…

Step 1: Define the position of the plane. This time, it can be random — let me know if you need an exact placement.
Step 2: Trace guides from the lamp’s projection through the bases of the sticks, extending them until they cross the edges of the ramp.
Step 3: Raise verticals from those intersections.
Step 4: Connect the top intersections to the bases of the sticks.
Step 5: Draw rays from the lamp through the top ends of the sticks, extending them until they cross the previous guides on the ramp or the first ones projected onto the floor.
Step 6: Draw the shadows from the sticks’ bases to the new intersections.

STEP-BY-STEP: HOW TO DRAW A PERFECT CUBE IN 1 POINT PERSPECTIVE
www.patreon.com/posts/step-by-step-how-142978342?u…

Step 1: Draw the first edge
Step 2: To find the depth, we can use the property of a 45-degree diagonal. But to locate the vanishing point for it -->
Step 3: Just rotate a true square with its diagonal at 45 degrees and place it at the station point
Step 4: Use the 45 degree vanishing point to get a diagonal for the square and find its depth
Step 5: The horizontal and vertical edges stays true in 1-point perspective, so just rotate the existing one
Step 6: Find the top using verticals and perspective guides
Step 7: Finish the cube

2 point and 3 point perspective cubes will be on my Patreon soon, as well as other useful schemes and guides

[Step-by-step]: HOW TO DRAW REPEATING OBJECTS ACCURATELY
www.patreon.com/posts/step-by-step-how-142378714?u…

Following the theme of my YouTube video and my last Instagram post, here’s one scheme from it and two additional techniques.

3 schemes to help you duplicate different objects in perspective:
• how to repeat objects with accurate size and distance
• how to copy the same plane at a random distance
• how to draw a grid for objects with the same proportions and equal spacing

Step 1: Draw the first object and define the position of the next one
Step 2: Drop a vertical line from the main vanishing point, then draw a long diagonal between the front edges of both objects
Step 3: The intersection of those two lines is the vanishing point for all the parallel diagonals
Step 4: The second diagonal from the back corner gives you the width of the object
Step 5: Now every pair from the previous object shows you the position and width of the next one
Step 6: Complete the row

HOW TO DRAW A TILED FLOOR OR EQUAL GRID IN PERSPECTIVE  (#stepbystep

Step 1: Define the area of your future floor

Step 2: Split the front edge into equal parts by ruler or eyeballing it. Horizontal edges stay true in 1 point perspective

Step 3: Send the perspective guides to the vanishing point

Step 4: And use them to draw equal stripes

Step 5: Draw just one diagonal

Step 6: Split the stripes into equal tiles using the intersections with the diagonal

Step 7: Finish the floor or use the grid as you need!

How to Make Perspective Drawing as Easy as Tracing

What’s the fastest way to draw something? That’s right — to trace it.
But when we draw, say, a real house in perspective, we can’t do that — it’s too big and too far away, right? (“or from imagination” and “it doesn’t develop our skills…yeah, probable this should be the main reason😅”)
Well, actually 😈 we can trace — using this: the flat plan of it.

✅Just posted a new video on my YouTube:

youtube.com/results?search_query=samushca+how+to+m…

And preparing the next ones:
- how to draw repeating objects in perspective
- how to mirror in perspective

I've already uploaded a PSD file with the house top, front and side view for your training on my Patreon:
