"Between our craves and our regrets stands the live stage of the presence that must give meaning and consistency and feel-good vibes to our life." I was among the top five position holders in Gujranwala Board in Matric as well as Fsc and later on, got admission in King Edward Medical University Lahore. I have always found pleasure in reading. The more I read, the more lenses I develop to see this world from. Alongwith reading, the time spent in medical school gave me a chance to live through the lives of other people. Every time I encountered a patient, I used to discern what makes him wake up in the morning and what keeps him going through the day. And I realized that for a life to be meaningful and content, the purpose does not have to be unique and it does not have to be constant. As we live, we evolve and we grow; the real thing is to keep going for whatever that keeps your conscience clear. I used to call it my concept of evolution. Also this was the time, I developed a very strong connection with Allah. It was difficult at first but as the uncertainties of life unfolded before me, I found my refuge and peace of my mind in this bond. In 2018, after having graduated from KE, I started my housejob in Psychiatry in Mayo Hospital Lahore. My father always wanted me to appear in CSS after my MBBS. Now was the time I had to make a choice. In order to fulfill my father's wish, I took a break from my housejob to prepare for this exam even though it meant putting a dent in my medical career and being jobless while my fellows were all moving forward with their careers. As I stepped into this journey full of new explorations, I started enjoying the process. CSS preparation was an altogether different experience than the way I had been studying in MBBS and before. I pulled up my socks and left no stone unturned in giving my best to this exam. I remember the day of the last paper in Feb 2019, I came out of the examination hall with this firm belief that I had done my best and now the rest belonged to Allah so if there was any goodness in this for me, I'd certainly be successful. Before the final result was out, not only did I complete my housejob but also appeared in written exam of CSS 2020. By June 2020, the final result of CSS 2019 was out and I stood 4th all Pakistan Alhamdulillah and got allocated in Pakistan Administrative Service and luckily I stood first in the written exam of CSS 2020 too. Our lives may not go as we plan and sometimes it's not even necessary that you have your entire life planned before you because you'll tread many paths that will unravel new experiences and new aspirations. The key is to give your best to every moment, to live every journey and to keep moving and growing with this belief in the concept of evolution that every thorn you come across on the road will make your destination more beautiful.
