some of the art used in this video was made pre-2021, and is -purely speculative-. as a result, this art does not reflect what Welcome Home is now, in its current state, or what it will be. PartyCoffin (AKA Clown), the creator of Welcome Home, was working on developing what the ARG would eventually become.
Clown has stated today that they would no longer like any art or similar pre-2021 Welcome Home content to be used in fan content like this, or to be reposted, as it doesn't reflect Welcome Home in its current iteration. this is because it may confuse the delivery of the real story! 🔥
now, this is totally a goof on my part and on the parts of others who've done similar things - with ARGs, we do tend to go crazy scouring for every little detail and searching for any scrap of information we can get, to repurpose and make interesting theories and fanworks. however, as a fan of this brilliant project, i absolutely don't want to compromise Clown and the team's creative vision, or to confuse anyone about what Welcome Home is 💖 my sincerest apologies to Clown and everyone working on Welcome Home - myself and other fans didn't mean to scare you or compromise what you've been building, and we'll certainly respect your wishes going forward!
Welcome Home is very much an in-progress project, and some of the art used in this video - specifically the pre-2021 art which can be found in the older parts of Clown's portfolio - does not represent what Welcome Home is or will be. as a result, i'd like to echo Clown's wishes and ask folks not to make similar edits (or other fanworks) like this using pre-2021 speculative Welcome Home art. this edit has been reposted too many times to be wholly removed from the Internet, but if asked, i will delete this edit from its sources on YouTube, Twitter, and Tumblr. the integrity of the Welcome Home story is more important than a silly edit i threw together in an evening!!
at present, Clown is taking a much-needed hiatus for their health (understandably, with the amount of attention he's been receiving!). as fellow fans of Welcome Home, i'd ask you all to please respect their choices concerning the use of pre-2021 art, and to be patient when it comes to learning more about Welcome Home. projects of this scale take time, and the payoff will be well worth it 🥰
