I had five miscarriages before giving birth to my baby twins, here are the things I did to become a mom.
My journey to motherhood was a long one. Five times I experienced the heartbreak of a miscarriage. Each time, it felt like my dream was slipping further away. But I refused to give up, and now, I’m the proud mom of two beautiful twin babies. If you're on a similar path, I want to share some things that helped me finally welcome my little ones into the world
Focus on your well-being
I learned that taking care of myself was the most important thing I could do. This wasn't just about my physical health; it was about my mind and spirit too.
1.Eat for your body: I made simple changes to my diet, focusing on whole foods, lots of vegetables, and healthy fats. Instead of obsessing over what not to eat, I focused on nourishing my body with what it needed to thrive.
2. Move your body: Gentle exercise like walking and prenatal yoga helped me feel strong and calm. It wasn't about pushing myself, but about listening to my body and giving it the movement it craved.
3. Rest and de-stress: After a lot of trial and error, I found that stress was a major factor for me. I started prioritizing sleep and finding ways to relax, whether it was through meditation, journaling, or just spending quiet time in nature.
Find your community and support
Going through this alone felt impossible. I found strength in connecting with others who understood what I was going through.
1. Talk to someone: I opened up to my partner and close friends about what I was feeling. Their support was invaluable. I also sought a therapist who specialized in fertility. Just having a safe space to express my grief and fears made a huge difference.
2. Join a group: I found an online support group for women who had experienced miscarriages. Hearing their stories and sharing my own made me feel less isolated and more hopeful. We celebrated each other’s small wins and held space for each other’s sorrow
.
Trust your journey
This was perhaps the hardest and most important lesson. After so much loss, it was difficult to believe that my time would come. But I had to learn to trust the process and listen to my body.
1. Be your own advocate: I worked closely with my doctor and asked a lot of questions. I researched and educated myself so I could be an active participant in my own care.
2. Don't lose hope: There were many days when I wanted to give up. But I held on to the belief that my story wasn't over. I truly believe that hope is a powerful tool on this journey. It’s what kept me going through the toughest times.
My journey was unique, and yours will be too. Please remember, you are not alone in this. Be gentle with yourself, find the support you need, and never, ever give up on your dream.
What is one thing that has helped you stay hopeful on your journey? Share in the comments below!

THE GIRL WHO GAVE BIRTH AT ONLY 5 YEARS
Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado is a Peruvian woman who became the youngest confirmed mother in history.
She gave birth to her son on May 14, 1939, at the age of 5 years, 7 months, and 21 days. The birth was by Cesarean section due to her small pelvis.
Her son, Gerardo, was born weighing 2.7 kg (6.0 lbs). Gerardo was raised believing Lina was his sister and only learned the truth when he was 10 years old.
So What caused her pregnancy at such an early age?Lina's pregnancy was the result of a rare condition called precocious puberty, which caused her to develop physically at an extremely early age. According to reports, she had started menstruating before the age of two and had fully developed breasts and widened hips by the age of five.
The identity of the father of her child has never been publicly revealed. Her own father was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault but was later released due to lack of evidence. Lina has never spoken about the circumstances of her impregnation.

A large-scale study involving 45.7 million people has found that COVID-19 vaccination is linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular events, directly challenging widespread online misinformation. Researchers observed a 10% drop in arterial thromboses—such as heart attacks and strokes—after the first vaccine dose, with even greater protection following subsequent doses and boosters. Pfizer recipients saw a 20% reduction in cardiovascular events, while AstraZeneca recipients experienced a 27% decrease.
Although rare side effects like myocarditis and clotting disorders were identified, they occurred infrequently and typically within weeks of vaccination. Crucially, the study highlighted that COVID-19 infection carries a far greater risk to heart and vascular health, especially for older adults and those with weakened immune systems.
Lead researcher Dr. Samantha Ip emphasized that these findings further reinforce the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination programs.

Researchers from MIT and Scripps have unveiled a promising new HIV vaccine approach that generates a powerful immune response with just one dose. By combining two immune-boosting adjuvants alum and SMNP the vaccine lingers in lymph nodes for nearly a month, encouraging the body to produce a vast array of antibodies. This one-shot strategy could revolutionize how we fight not just HIV, but many infectious diseases. It mimics the natural infection process and opens the door to broadly neutralizing antibody responses, a holy grail in vaccine design. And best of all, it's built on components already known to medicine.
