I’m turning 20 today, thank you to everyone who loved my Jetstream Sam cosplay.
To be honest all my life people have told me that my smile was creepy and ugly and from a very early age I stopped showing my teeth when I smiled because of the comments others made about me.
Took me 19 years to finally start having confidence in myself , to accept who I was and how I looked regardless of what my surroundings said about me.
And this year I took the courage to smile once more, this time to the whole world to see and I was more than surprised when people loved it, told me my smile brought them happiness and other countless of good comments.
For those who feel out of place, who are “weird” or simply unique I can only tell you to love yourself more than anything , don’t pay attention to the negativity that we often have to be surrounded .
I’m sure one day people will understand that there are places where you will be hated for who you are and others where you will be praised and love for being yourself
You just have to be patient enough to find the latter.
