United States Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers in the Atlantic Ocean.
These warships are multimission destroyers able to conduct antiaircraft warfare with Aegis and surface-to-air missiles; tactical land strikes with Tomahawk missiles; antisubmarine warfare (ASW) with towed array sonar, antisubmarine rockets, and ASW helicopters; and antisurface warfare (ASuW) with ship-to-ship missiles and guns. With upgrades to their AN/SPY-1 radar systems and their associated missile payloads as part of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System, as well as the introduction of the AN/SPY-6 radar system, the class has also evolved capability as mobile antiballistic missile and antisatellite platforms.
The Boeing F-47 is a sixth-generation air superiority fighter jet to be developed by Boeing for the United States Air Force (USAF) as part of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program. Air Force officials said development testing has been underway since 2020, and the Air Force aims to field it by the end of the decade, when it will become the first American-built sixth-generation fighter jet.
Details about the F-47's design remain classified. The F-47 will have significantly greater range, more advanced stealth, be more resilient, more supportable, and have higher availability than fifth-generation fighters — that is, the F-22 and F-35. The aircraft will cost less than the F-22, be acquired in greater numbers, be more adaptable to future threats, and require significantly less manpower and infrastructure to deploy.
It is expected to include advanced stealth capabilities, sensor fusion, and the ability to coordinate with drone swarms, all intended to provide an edge in combat.
The Romanian government has confirmed its intention to procure 32 F-35A Lightning II 5th generation fighter jets. This decision marks an important milestone in Romania's defense strategy and its commitment to maintaining a robust and advanced military force.
Greece selects the F-35A Lightning II as their next fighter jet.
The world’s greatest air forces use the F-35 to meet national security needs. Many of Greece’s traditional partners, such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and the United States, are operating F-35s in the European theatre today. Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and now Greece have selected the F-35 and will soon operate in Europe. The global footprint of the F-35 continues to expand because the aircraft integrates allied nations worldwide and enables mission capability.
Winged Warriors: Poland’s First F-35 Unveiled.
The unique name of Poland’s F-35As, “Husarz,” is derived from the legendary Polish “winged” Hussars cavalry units active from the 16th century until the early 18th century. Like the namesake Polish warriors before, the F-35A “Husarz” is a striking symbol of strength, resolve and beauty. F-35s are advancing NATO deterrence and interoperability in Europe, where Poland and allies face threats not seen in a generation.

The M1 Abrams Block III tank (M1 TTB) was a prototype built in 1983 as part of the TACOM Abrams Block III program (which would eventually develop the M1A3), featuring an uninhabited turret with a 120 mm M256 44 caliber smoothbore gun, three crews. Crew members sit side by side inside an armored capsule at the front of the hull, along with a suite of cameras and thermal imagers to maintain the crew's situational awareness. The main armament was linked to a Meggitt mechanical autoloader and a 44-round vertical ammunition carousel inside the turret basket; this system could provide a sustained rate of fire of 10 rounds per minute and successfully completed over 40,000 round loading/unloading cycles without malfunctioning during testing.
The program was canceled after the end of the Cold War, and the prototype tank is now on display in the US Army Armor and Cavalry Collection at Fort Moore, Georgia.
