The Tamil Nadu Rainbow Coalition (TNRC) has the following demands for Pride 2019

1. We celebrate the Supreme Court Judgment in 2018 on IPC Section 377 decriminalising consensual adult homosexual activity. We demand that the government should implement the judgment and give it due publicity as instructed by the Supreme Court.

2. We one again, thank the Honourable Supreme Court for the progressive judgment on transgender rights in 2014 in the intervention filed by NALSA. We demand the central government should scrap the current version to the Rights of Transgender Persons bill the goes against this judgement and to introduce laws and policies to protect our right to self-determination. We demand the Tamil Nadu government should allow all transgender people to change their name in all documents through Gazette notification regardless of their gender assigned at birth or surgical status. We also demand Tamil Nadu Third Gender Welfair Board should cater to both transwomen and transmen.

3. We thank the Government of Tamil Nadu and the state's National Health Mission for working towards establishing transgender clinics in Madurai and Chennai. We demand that all transgender people should be offered all services (including surgeries, hormones, and sexual and reproductive healthcare) based on their needs at all the healthcare facilities.

4. We thank the High Courts and the Supreme Court for the various progressive judgements that affirms the right of all adults to freely choose who they want to live with irrespective of what their parents and/or relatives say. We request the police to help stop all forms of violence against LGBTQIA+ people including blackmail and extortion of gay and bisexual men.

5. We thank the University Grants Commission(UGC) for issuing directives to include a provision against bulling based on sexual orientation or gender identity in the anti-ragging polices. We demand a comprehensive anti-discrimination legislation that also covers other attributes such as caste, religion, and disability to protect all LGBTQIA+ members from discrimination in education institutions, workplaces, and public spaces.

6. We feel a deep sense of grief to witness the large number of suicides and murders of LGBTQIA+ people due to lack of acceptance by family and society. We demand parents should accept their children for who they truly are and stop forcing them into marriages against their choice or to undergo conversation therapy.

7. As LGBTQIA+ community members, we protest against all human rights violations based on caste, class, race, language, diet, disability, region, religion, occupation, etc. We strongly condemn the increasing violence against women and demand strong action be taken against the perpetrators of such violence.
