Big Myth that hurts companies: Our employees would never steal from us. This is 99 3/4% true. The problem is that tiny percentage can absolutely demolish a company, if the theft goes on long enough. Let me give you a few examples.
Example#1 Most recently, the Jacksonville Jaguars lost $22 million over a period of four years, when a mid-level trusted employee figured out how to exploit the organization’s virtual card program. He was able to make purchases and then falsify accounting records to cover up this massive fraud.
