Yes. Because you have to play good for 3 minutes and hope for the best the motion controls doesn't screw you over.

So a month ago, I made a mini video about some V1.0 cartridges not working for Switch 2.
Today DoesitPlay has found out that newer Switch 2 firmware CAN RETROACTIVELY BLOCK games that had older versions despite being bootable on the same system in the past.

This can be seriously troublesome for Switch 2 speedrunning as one day, a new system firmware comes out and blocks you from accessing the speedrun optimal version of a Switch 2 exclusive speedgame. So if you are running a Switch 2 game for a marathon, avoid downloading a system update just incase it blocks access to that build.
