If I told you that there was a time when the ministers of an African country travelled to New York on economy class for government business and slept on mattresses that were placed on the floor, would you believe me?

Well, this is exactly what happened about 41 years ago at Burkina Faso’s UN mission in New York.

The government officials who had traveled with Thomas Sankara had to sleep on mattresses that were placed on the floor of the mission and this was duly approved and justified by Sankara himself.

We tell this story and several other incredible stories about the many sacrifices that Thomas Sankara made during his years as President of Burkina Faso 🇧🇫. Check it out below…⬇️

The explosive speeches of Kwame Ture(born Stokely Carmichael) have gone viral many times over on social media and this is how many people have come to know him but there is far more to the revolutionary life of the man who named himself after Kwame Nkrumah and Sékou Touré.

A least known part of his life is the many years he spent living in Conakry, Guinea. A period with many fascinating experiences and stories everyone needs to know about and it is our intention to convey these stories through our videos.

Our first effort is our latest video about the time when Kwame Ture willingly offered himself to Kwame Nkrumah to be sent on any mission. Do check it out below…⬇️

On this day 38 years ago, Thomas Sankara was assassinated by traitors close to him. As a leader, he proved that another way is possible. That it is possible for a leader to put the interests of the people first. Through the many sacrifices that he personally made and got members of his government to make, Sankara showed that Africa is not only doomed to have self-serving and heartless leaders.
Beyond this, his transformation of Burkina Faso without resorting to foreign loans but relying on the people and Burkina Faso’s limited resources is also concrete proof self-reliance is the way out for Africa.

On this day, we give a revolutionary salute to the great Thomas Isidore Noël Sankara. #SankaraForever ✊🏿

116 years to this day, the Founder and first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah was born. For his heroic leadership in Ghana and Africa’s fight for liberation from colonial rule, he remains an eternal icon for all freedom-loving people.

In spite of the unrelenting efforts by the internal and external enemies of Africa to demonise his person and efforts, the masses, rightly, continue to recognise that he was a man who genuinely wanted the best for Africa.

As the Osagyefo himself said, death can never extinguish the torch which he lit in Ghana and Africa.

He, certainly, has been proven right on this—like on many other things too.

On this day, we salute the Osagyefo(redeemer) and re-dedicate ourselves to propagating his ideas and vision to the world.

Happy Founder’s Day to the good people of Ghana! 🇬🇭✊🏿
