I appreciate any promotion that a venue offers a musician! Many venues don't even mention having live music.

Be careful of what deals you make with certain folk. Some people are not working for a two sided benefit.

Angus Young was the guitar player that got me interested in music. I love AC/DC! Who is your favorite musician?

500 days.

What can I (and you) accomplish with 500 days of focused intentional effort?

Effort aimed at a few specific goals.

I want to film a weekly vlog update on the 71 or so weeks that is 500 days.

Then after everything that happens in that time frame, I can compare it to January 1st, 2025 on Saturday, May 16th, 2026!

Then, compile the best or most important moments into a big self-produced docuseries.

What do you think?

STORY TIME:
One of my favorite photos I've taken.

I decided to get out of debt at the end of 2019.

I had a choice to make. Spend my tax return to put toward debt, or buy a "tool" that could make me more money.

I bought a camera in February for bar band photography as a side hustle.

2 weeks later the global economy shut down.

It was a good plan, but at least now I can play with a camera lol

In 2019 I didn't think that I would be a solo acoustic musician.

I thought that my band at the time would be the full-time job.

The band ended up not going anywhere and started to not be fun anymore.

I could handle getting stiffed on payment, late nights, no one shows, throwing good cash after bad, but when it became unenjoyable, I knew things had to change.

Of course, there are parts of being self-employed that I really dislike, but the fun outweighs the cons.
