I have sanded the purpleheart/ red spruce dreadnought to 3000 grit, and will buff it out tomorrow, and hopefully will string it up Tuesday. We’ll get a video up by next week, unless she explodes on me LOL.

Progress is continuing on the Young Guitars curly mahogany D-18. Now the mystery of the top is disclosed for us. 🥳 if you look closely, you will notice this is a coveted “ smoky Mountain top”, which comes from the personal stash of John Arnold himself. we certainly appreciate John and his generosity, and the comments he relayed about me, when he provided such a valuable and highly desirable top that he saved for himself. I’m certain this guitar will exceed the highest expectations.
