I usually don't want to get into arguing about something that's probably a waste of time, but here we go:
OPM season 3 is getting a lot of hate due to the lack of S1-level animation.
If you watch anime purely for eye-pleasing animation, I can understand the disappointment. However, there are also some problems that I want to adress.
- People normalizing Ufotable-level animation as the new standard - People judging the season based on just two episodes - People criticizing without ever working in the industry, without knowing knowing what it's really like - the schedules, budgets, pressure, and everything happening behind the curtain - People turning critique into forced hate and bullying - People not wanting to admit that there's already a very well animated action scene in the show
6 years is a long time, I know. But there are always reasons why things turn out the way they do. It's a shame that we don't always get to know them.
However, if we stop taking things for granted and start being more greatful for the things we get (almost for free) life becomes much more enjoyable.
I want to share some thoughts about my current life and work so... Let's get real!
Most of you are probably still wating deltarune chapter 4 covers to be released any day now and I hate to break it to you... It's not going to happen soon.
As I'm already this late, I feel like the hype is gone and every possible cover version has already been made. That killed my inspiration tbh. And it's my own fault, since I'm the slowest producer in the whole world. I have my own quality standards that are met after days of experimenting with samples and arrangements. Cant't help it.
However I mostly blame Silksong. I've already put like 40 hours into it. I love the challenge and it feels much better to play the game than make music at the moment. I was so busy doing the TV Time video whole summer I forgot how nice it feels to just play games, see friends, watch anime and be myself. I guess it's about finding a balance.
I also have to think about prioritizing the serious stuff like income and health, which is another reason to step away from the Youtube world. But not for 2 years at least ;)
