Interview segment with legendary Hollywood editor Paul Hirsch. Hirsch discusses meeting directors George Lucas an Brian de Palma at almost the beginning of his career. What is very evident from Hirsch's anecdotal stories and life experience, is that serendipity and luck sometimes are responsible for the biggest moments in our careers and lives. Hirsch describes meeting George Lucas only after hitting on his then-wife Marcia, and getting hired to edit Star Wars only after Lucas fired his British editor. Hirsch remains humble and his advice on the importance of luck is something all young artists and creators should keep in mind.
