i used to see fitness as a punishment for my body. i thought i had to work out every time i ate. i was so proud when i hit 95 lbs (barely eating). it was affecting other aspects of my life. i didn’t have the energy to do anything. i knew something had to change. i started to work with my body instead of against it. i changed the way i see fitness. it’s not something i have to do, but something i get to do. 💗
you don’t need to skip meals to look amazing. if anything, it’s making it more challenging to achieve your fitness goals. the more muscle mass you have, the faster your metabolism is. eventually, you don’t have to try hard to be fit.
i still have bad body-image days. but this time, i’m more aware of it and try my best to show myself grace.
fitness is a lifelong journey. it’s not a quick fix. 💯💪🏼
