इस किताब में साफ़ लिखा है कि जब चीनी सेना हमारी सीमा में घुस आई थी, ऐसी नाज़ुक घड़ी में सेना प्रमुख को इंतजार करवाया।

और जब निर्णय लेने का वक़्त आया, तो प्रधानमंत्री ने बस इतना कहा - “जो आपको उचित लगे, वो कीजिए।”

यानी देश की सुरक्षा के सबसे गंभीर संकट में, मोदी जी ने राजनीतिक ज़िम्मेदारी से हाथ खड़े कर लिए।

जनरल नरवणे खुद लिखते हैं कि उस समय उन्हें महसूस हुआ कि राजनीतिक नेतृत्व ने सेना को अकेला छोड़ दिया।

यही वह सच्चाई है जिसे बोलने से मुझे संसद में रोका जा रहा है।

देश सवाल पूछ रहा है और सरकार जवाब देने से भाग रही है।
