Here you will find videos with tips and creative ideas for how to create interesting pottery using various techniques and how to fire and glaze pottery.
I primarily Wheel Throw my pots but I use many different techniques to do so. To make larger pots I often throw in sections. You can find many videos here about how to do that.
I like to work with textured surfaces - crackled textures, slip decorations, chattering, roller textures, scratches, beaten patterns - and all sorts of pottery with attitude.
One of my special passions is Pitfire Pottery so a lot of the videos will cover my work with that.

I love Cyprus and I love the good friends and potters that I got to know.
One of them is Vassos Demetriou.
Vassos was educated as traditional production potter but is now focused on creating unique ceramics art. He works with many kind of clays, techniques and way to fire pottery.
In this video he shows us how easy wheel throwing can be. That is, if you know how to. But it is, I think, such a joy to see a skilled craft-man create pots like this.

What is your favorite pot to make (or buy)?
One that I really love to make is this "bamboo vase" shape. Not only is it fun and easy to do, but it also fit well in the kiln - with very little wasted space. And my customers really seem to like it, so always lacking behind on production :-)
