Eric Smith, Servant of Jesus Christ

A channel, I hope, gives glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, in any and every way. I try to feature many videos that spotlight sound Biblical teaching that encourages fellow believers to study (2 Timothy 2:15). I also feature different music, some Christian, and some secular (mostly jazz). My desire is that this channel will help believers walk more with the Lord (in any small way) and encourage any unbeliever to know Him through the gospel (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10). I hope to develop this channel more in the future, time permitting.

Dynamic Omniscience is not Biblical (Live) 04/22/25, 12:00 Noon EST

Hello, fellow saints. Meant to do this live last week, but was having trouble with my computer camera. I am going to examine three points made about Dynamic Omniscience from the open theist Idol Killer. It is from a short he did a year ago that showed up on my YouTube feed, but I thought would be good to examine. There are many professed Christians who want to diminish God's omniscience to try to solve the "dilemma" of, "If God knows all things, then He knows who would choose Christ, which means the person who would or wouldn't choose Christ wouldn't do otherwise." It is an attempt to "save" man's libertarian free will. But is Dynamic Omniscience Biblical? I would safely say no based on scripture. Join me for this live to go over what the Bible says about this important subject (or watch on the replay if you can't join me). God bless.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!

I hope and pray every saint had a blessed Lord's day on this day that we celebrate Christ's resurrection. All that call on the Lord in repentant faith will confess and believe this fact for salvation (Romans 10:9-13)! And read all of 1 Corinthians 15 to remind you of the importance of the resurrection! From me and my family: Happy Resurrection Day!

Lamentations 3:22-26; A Detailed Look (God's Reliable Attributes) Live Monday, 04/14/25, 12:30 PM EST

I am excited to do a Detailed Look teaching on a set of verses that are very familiar to Christians. But we can't let our familiarity hinder us from seeing the depths of who God is and the way we can have a sure hope in Him under any circumstances. The prophet Jeremiah knew this when he wrote his laments; so much so that these verses in Lamentations gives a wonderful picture of anticipated hope due to the reliable attributes of God.

I know this live is early in the day and many may not be able to watch, but if you have the time I would love for any of my subscribers/viewers to come to the live with a prayerful heart and an open Bible so that you can be totally blessed by the truth and promises of God. And if you can't watch it live, please watch it on the replay. (And please keep this live in your prayers; the last live I did resulted in a strange quirk where the last thirty minutes were deleted though I actually made no edits or changes to it. Not sure how that happened, but I would love this live to be complete from beginning to end.) God bless, and I hope to see you there.

Steve Lawson, Adultery, and other stuff! Live today 3:00 PM EST

Okay, this is last minute, but I'm going to shoot a live discussing some things that have been on my mind the last week or so. I will first speak about Steve Lawson's statement of repentance and adultery in the body of Christ. Then I will shift to some other subjects that I want to get off my chest. This will be some teaching and a lot of ranting. If you can join and don't mind the rant, then come to the live. If you can't join, then watch on the replay. God bless.

TAKING A BREAK FOR A FEW DAYS TO RELAX

I will not be uploading any Quick Look or Apologetics Nuggets videos for the next few days. I will also not be doing any lives. Right now we have renovations going on in our small bathroom that will take a few days and probably create too much noise for me to record in our small house. Taking the time to relax a bit. I may drop a few shorts during this time period, but may not go back to uploading regular videos until the weekend or next Monday. Also want to take time to spend with my family, particularly with my son who will turn 21 this Thursday. I really feel honored to upload teaching videos on YouTube, but spending time with my wife and kids is more important and always my number one ministry. God willing I will be back to my normal routine in about a week. I appreciate all of my viewers/subscribers who support me and this channel. God bless.

PLEASE CHECK OUT MY DAUGHTER'S SHORT

My sweet pea, Rebekah, dropped a short on Sunday on Isaiah 40:31. It was very encouraging and I am so grateful she did it. Please give it a look, a like, and share it with others. It's a good reminder that the Lord is with us no matter what. God bless.

What happened to Christian Maturity?

Today I got a comment on one of my YouTube shorts concerning a well-known YouTuber who advocates for open theism. The comment was from that well-known YouTuber. He took issue with the YouTube short I uploaded where I responded to someone else suggesting I debate this YouTuber about his theological stance. I responded in the short that while debate is fine, it isn't necessary to debate every person who makes theological assertions on social media. If they make public statements, then they can be publicly critiqued. This isn't a Matthew 18:15-20 issue or a reason to call out a person to debate. It is fine for a Christian to check what someone is saying per Acts 17:11 and 2 Timothy 2:15 to see if it is true. I don't find the doctrines of Open Theism (denial of original sin, denial of total depravity, thinking God isn't omniscient the way the Bible describes, etc.) lining up with scripture. And there are enough things that don't line up where I can honestly say it is heresy.

The well-known YouTuber made four points in his response to me and I responded to his four points in a short. He made a mocking comment stating it was no wonder I wouldn't debate him. I responded back and told him basically it isn't necessary to do so, and that I basically found him to be childish. He responded again with another mocking comment, then mentioned me in a post mocking my video for his followers to gleefully joke about. And this person can't fathom why someone wouldn't want to debate him. What happened to Christian maturity?

As a believer in Jesus Christ, I don't mind having fun and even being silly, but there is a time and place for things like that. When talking about God's Word and character, we need to be sober-minded. We serve an awesome God that calls us to share the Gospel (Romans 10:14-17), walk in holiness (1 Peter 1:13-16), and redeem the time (Ephesians 5:15-16, Colossians 4:5). If you're going to represent the Lord on social media, particularly YouTube, understand that any teaching you do reaches a great audience and many times people that view or follow your channel sign off on what you do. Dear Christians, don't be like this particularly YouTuber; we have a grand honor and responsibility to represent the Lord Jesus Christ; we need to be mature in our ministries and serious about our service to the Lord. Don't use social media as a springboard to promote your own "cleverness," maintain a following, and mock others at the expense of Biblical truth. I pray for this particular person because I honestly don't believe he knows the Lord and Matthew 7:23 awaits him unless he truly repents and believes. Be steadfast, serious, and sober-minded about your ministries, Christians. God bless.

ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED? (A BIBLICAL EXAMINATION) LIVE, WEDNESDAY, 03/05, 2:00 PM EST

Grace and peace, fellow saints; I've been going through the scriptures for the last week and a half taking notes for the subject of "Once saved, always saved." Better teachers and theologians than myself have tackled this subject, so there's probably no real need for me to do a live on it, but I've been contemplating doing a teaching on it for some time, particularly with the back and forth between folks on social media about God's sovereignty and man's will. The subject of the security of salvation will eventually come to the forefront, and that is an important doctrine to discuss. And I know there are many professed believers in the camp that "once saved, always saved" is not a reality. But what does the Bible say about it?

Come and join me for this live teaching where I attempt to tackle this subject. And if you can join me live (or even watch on the replay), have an open Bible and a prayerful heart to rightly divide and search the scriptures to see if this subject is true (2 Timothy 2:15, Acts 17:11). I hope and pray to do justice to this subject and keep it Biblical. I would love for any of my viewers and/or subscribers to join me so we can have a joyous time in God's Word. Hope to see you there; God bless!

MY 66TH BIRTHDAY!!

Today I am blessed to turn 66 today. The Lord has kept me on this earth to serve Him despite my weaknesses, flaws, and complaints. He has blessed me with a beautiful wife, wonderful children, loving Christian brethren, and His indwelling Holy Spirit. The Lord has saved me by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and I have a hope that I don't deserve and a future in glory that surpasses anything I have in this life. And yet I am so thankful for this life He has given me, particularly through my prostate cancer surgery and the life changes I've gone through. God is always good, and I pray He continues to give me His strength, wisdom, and power to represent Him in all I do, particularly this channel. I want to thank all of my viewers/subscribers for coming to this channel. My desire is to teach the Word of God and edify believers in any small way with their walk with the Lord.

Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say rejoice!" I want to continue to walk in the joy of the Lord. To my shame, I don't do it as much as I should, but God reminds me every day through prayer and His Word that the greatest gift ever given to me was His salvation. And we want others to be given that gift as well. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." My birthday wish and prayer is that sinners would be saved and have eternal life in Christ. If the Lord keeps me here for many more birthdays, I hope I will serve Him to continue to glorify Him, edify the body of Christ, and proclaim the Gospel to the lost so that they may be saved. I thank the Lord for these 66 years and eternity to come. God bless.

ROMANS 3:9-12: A DETAILED LOOK (NONE: SINFUL INABILITY) LIVE TUESDAY 01/28, 1:00 PM EST

Based on the most votes in a recent post, I will be doing a Detailed Look on a set of verses from Romans 3. This teaching will be on the sinfulness of man that Paul lays out in Romans 3:9-20. I will be concentrating on four verses that actually indicate the sinful inability of man. I hope this teaching will be edifying and I am blessed to have this day off so I decided to do my live earlier in the day (later I will be celebrating my 66th birthday which happens to be on Tuesday). I hope many of you can join me with a prayerful heart and an open Bible. God bless.
