Basant Panchami: A Celebration of Learning and Inspiration

Basant Panchami was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Firayalal Public School, Ranchi, on 23rd January 2026. Students, especially from Grades X and XII, gathered to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati through a sacred puja followed by hawan, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere on the campus.

The Honorable guest, Mrs. Kawaljeet Kaur, former educator at Loreto Convent School and presently a life coach and motivational speaker, delivered an inspiring address. She encouraged students to dream fearlessly, believe in their abilities, and remain persistent in the face of challenges. Emphasizing that examination scores do not define a person’s true worth or future success, she urged students to focus on learning, self-growth, and positive thinking. Her words motivated students to pursue their goals with confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose.

Vice Principal, Mrs. Haneet Munjal also motivated the CBSE Board Examination aspirants with her encouraging words where she said that " We believe in our students' potential and strongly believe that they will all make us proud ." Mr. Sunil Prasad (Examination In-charge), Mrs. Shiney Singh (Senior Coordinator) and Mrs. Archana (HOD, Hindi) extended their heartfelt best wishes, filling students with renewed confidence and determination for a bright future.

Firayalal Public School

The CBSE Budding Authors’ Programme 2025–26 was conducted at Firayalal Public School, Ranchi, on 20 January 2026 (Tuesday). The initiative, designed by CBSE, aims to nurture creativity and develop a love for writing and storytelling among students.

In the first round, 40 students from Grades V to X participated enthusiastically, crafting stories on themes like science, heroes around us, kindness, self-confidence, war and peace, pet care, and nature.

Vice Principal- Mrs. Haneet Munjal appreciated CBSE’s thoughtful initiative, stating that such platforms encourage imagination, confidence, and expressive skills, helping students grow into creative and responsible thinkers.

A discussion on ' Good Parenting Practices' at Doordarshan Kendra, Ranchi.

The students of Firayalal Public School, Ranchi—Mishu Kumari (Grade XII), Harsh Kumar Chaubey (Grade XA), Wadi Kishore (Grade XB), Akshita Prasad (Grade XA) and Nishi Kumari ( Grade XA) —participated in an interactive session on the topic' Good Parenting Practices' sheduled at , ' Doordarshan Kendra , Ranchi on the 11th of December, 2025 along with their parents making it a meaningful family–school collaboration.

Their enthusiastic involvement reflected confidence, discipline, and a spirit of learning beyond the classroom. The presence of parents added warmth and encouragement, strengthening the bond between home and school.

Principal, Mr. Niraj Kumar Sinha enlightened the audience on the topic with his inspiring thoughts, emphasizing holistic development, values, and active parental participation as key pillars in shaping responsible and successful individuals.

The session was graced by the principals of other eminent schools in Ranchi.

Encouraging open forums and sessions as this to discuss and promote awareness and invite participation of students and parents on issues that need attention is a commendable initiative by Doordarshan.

Visit to Career Counselling Session:
Students of Classes XI & XII attended an enriching Career Counselling Session conducted on 12th December,2025 by Dainik Bhaskar & KL University, Vijayawada.
The session was organised at 'The Kav’s' , Harmu, to guide students in understanding the wide range of career opportunities available today and to help them make informed decisions about their future.
The resource person highlighted the importance of self-awareness, interests, and aptitude while choosing a career path. Students were introduced to various emerging fields in comparison to the traditional career options. The counsellor also explained the role of skill development, internships, and continuous learning in building a successful career.
The visit proved to be a valuable experience.

Career Fair for Secondary Section -
A Career Fair was organised by Globuss Educational Foundation on the 4th December,2025, for Grade XII at Hotel Raindew, Lalpur.
The objective of this fair was to guide the students towards informed academic and professional choices.Mrs. Archna, HOD, Hindi Department, and Mr. Dhruva Narayan Saha, HOD, English Department attended the event, which proved to be both insightful and inspiring.
The fair brought together representatives from various universities, professional institutes, and industry experts. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with counsellors and experts from diverse fields such as engineering, medicine, commerce, management, humanities, design, law, and emerging technologies.
The session highlighted career trends, skill requirements, admission procedures, and future opportunities, enabling students to explore multiple pathways aligned with their interests and abilities.
The visit proved to be a platform for awareness, exposure, and self-reflection. Students returned with enriched understanding, renewed confidence, and a sense of direction for their future endeavours.

Firayalal Public School, Ranchi, observed National Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on 26.11.2025 with great respect and enthusiasm. Students and teachers came together to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution and to remember the invaluable contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the esteemed drafting committee. The programme included a talk on constitutional values, the reading of the Preamble, and various activities highlighting fundamental rights, duties, and the spirit of democracy.
