This is probably going to be one of the most personal posts I've ever made...

I just read the news that Reita, the bassist of the GazettE, has passed away.
He wasn't just the bassist of my favorite band, but the bassist I admired the most because he was always talented at fitting and making the bass lines stand out in most of the songs.

In 2013, I went to the the GazettE concert here in Brazil. It was their first world tour, and the enthusiasm of each one of them, especially Reita, was evident. During the encore, he spun with the bass on stage until he couldn't handle it anymore, and the bass carried him.

the GazettE was part of my youth, the band that accompanied me through my worst moments.
It's the band I revisit every year to listen to the discography, and it always feels like the first time, reminding me of pains I've already overcome.

I'm sad, very sad indeed. I never thought I would be in mourning over the death of an artist I admired so much, because honestly, I never thought this would happen. I thought he was immortal.
I don't know how I can honor or express my gratitude for the existence of this artist and what he has done, but here's my most personal side of it for you all.
