The Twisted Mind of Jerry Brudos: A Tale of Shoe Fetish and Murder
Jerry Brudos, also known as the Shoe Fetish Slayer, was a serial killer with a disturbing obsession with shoes and women's underwear. He was abused by his mother and developed a shoe fetish at a young age. He would stalk and photograph women, and eventually escalated to abducting, raping, and murdering them. Brudos would pose and photograph the bodies of his victims, engaging in necrophilia. He was eventually caught and sentenced to life in prison. His wife, who unknowingly lived with a serial killer, was acquitted of any involvement. He would eventually die in 2006.
