The latest issue of Edge Magazine is out and it features a cover story on Final Fantasy VII Revelation. I read through it and it’s recapping a lot of stuff we’ve covered here on the channel already, but if you’d like to read it yourself and you have an iPhone (or iPad) you can read it through a free trial to Apple News+ (not sponsored, it’s just how I read it).

Just a heads up: there won’t be a video for the IGN Japan Hamaguchi interview. It was entirely in Japanese (there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of new stuff in it either) and the b roll was mostly stuff we’ve seen already. Although according to some fan translations Hamaguchi did say they’re thinking of adding options to the game when it comes to dialing back the heavy handed guidance due to player feedback. That’s nice to hear! In the mean time you can check out my reactions to all the FF7 Revelation chapter 1 stuff in my recent video. Have a good weekend and stay safe!

Naoki Hamaguchi has confirmed that they won’t have any stage presentations at this year’s Tokyo Game Show since the Square Enix booth doesn’t have a stage. So it looks like the IGN interview is all that’s taking place, unless they drop a new trailer online.

Did anyone here ever play Friday the 13th: The Game? I've been seeing a lot of videos of the new Halloween Game and it's got me all nostalgic for F13. For those who don't know I used to post all kinds of gameplay from the game here on the channel. I was a pretty good Jason and counselor. Here's one of my favorite Jason matches I ever had.

Feels surreal getting a physical copy of a new Onimusha game. Almost 20 years later and one of my favorite franchises has returned.

Naoki Hamaguchi has confirmed that they are offering a hands on demo for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation at gamescom which means previews and impressions will be rolling out soon. If you guys would like me to do a roundup of all the impressions when they hit please let me know. I’m never sure how interested people are in previews and impressions.
