Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in, as the latest video generated a lot of discussion. I have mostly kept away from it since the video launched for my own reasons (I don't think an individual is built to sift through hundreds of comments, whether they're positive or negative. If that person does exist, it is not me), but I recognize and appreciate that it wasn't what a lot of people were expecting. I had fun making it, and I'm still proud of it, but I definitely understand and hear the feedback. It's valid, and you are valid. Thanks for hearing me out, at the very least! In retrospect, there are some things I could have changed, and ways I could have gotten my points across better. That's the kind of takeaway I look to have with my recent videos as I continue to navigate this strange space.

Ultimately, this channel is a creative endeavor. I'll hit and I'll miss. It's simply the nature of the craft. My plan is to keep moving along with all of the ideas I've had and hope that it's still interesting!

Last year, I really wanted to run with a fun theme for every video, as a way to sort through the various ideas I have. That didn't really end up coming together, but I have a stronger idea for this year that will hopefully be really cool! If y'all didn't know, this year will mark the tenth anniversary of me making videos on the platform, so I have a lot of special plans in mind to celebrate!

I will be aiming for a video every month, with a loose theme of "winners and losers." Sword and Shield was the "winner" and this month's video will be the "loser." What that ultimately will mean is up to you, but you'll likely pick up my meaning when the new video releases in a few days! That's not to say every video is literally going to be the same, it's mostly a way to sort through and organize a bunch of different ideas into a fun umbrella, and help focus some of those videos into the best forms they can take.

Thanks for the support, whether you've been here for close to ten years, or only just recently discovered me. I hope to make this one of the best years for the channel yet!

Gonna once again be streaming over on the second channel, this time some Shadow the Hedgehog using the Reloaded mod. This is all in lead-up to Sonic x Shadow Generations, which I have a feeling I may be covering on the main channel! Been pretty interested in it.

Also a reminder that this second channel exists, and that I'm planning to post to it more now that I'm fully moved over to a new house. Have more time to dedicate to some more low-effort discussions. Been thinking of posting my thoughts on the Stormlight Archive books in lead up to the fifth book, but I may also discuss things over there like the new Dark Beginnings animated short Shadow just got.
