Hi, I am Camelia ,
I love sewing and could sew all day every day :). I love fabric and interesting patterns, and I think sewing should be fun and relaxing. I think people should not think about zippers and buttonholes with fear in their mind but just thinking that are adventures and get going on it.
"Fear" should not be in the same sentence with "sewing".
My best advice, when you start a project: make a muslin ( or a toile, a test garment) That should be your canvas for all the unknown when you start working on a new project. You can see if your chosen size is right, you can get the idea of the construction of the garment and so you can even see if you like the silhouette after all. All these are things that can make sewing enjoyable!

A piece of olive green linen from @MinervaDotCom got me inspired to make the best of it :) So I made a pair of Estelle pants, two Pia versions, and a Freya top to go with. All, #designerstitch patterns.

#SewingTip #BetterButtonholes I just finished a new blouse in Falling Blossom viscose and this was one of the last steps, sewing the buttonholes. A while ago, I discovered that adding a layer of water-soluble stabilizer is helping with getting less puckering and a better buttonhole. After sewing, the stabilizer gets ripped off very easily, so no need to wash it!
