I get lots of comments telling me my Roblox Golden Age video aged poorly. But one of the opening statements literally says "this isn't about the platform itself, it's more so about the community."
I am well aware of what's happening with the platform. But that's not what that video was about. Spreading positivity is a lot harder than spreading negativity, and I could've just joined the crowd by making the 50th video about how Grow A Garden sucks or something, but I chose not to do that. I'm a firm believer that Roblox is a great platform, built for making great things.
Recent situations may say otherwise, sure, but once again, throughout all of this, the community still manages to pull through and make amazing games and content at the end of the day. That's why I made that video. And I personally don't believe THAT "aged like milk," as some would say. And what really convinced me that I did the right thing was the amount of love and support I got from it- People telling me how I've motivated them to work on their projects because of MY video. It definitely isn't a piece of media made for everyone, because that wasn't my intention, but I'm glad it reached the right audience and genuinely changed the mindset of at least ONE person out there.
As a community, we can get through anything. You just have to show a bit of love and support.
