New video about Aimer is out now! So please go check it out.
It's really difficult to make a video about singers who don't have much footage outside of live performances, so it's definitely not the most polished Story of video in comparison to LiSA or HANA. Anyways, I decided to make an Aimer video back when Infinity Castle was announced, and after seeing it a couple of weeks ago, the decision was correct. Not the best "movie" I've ever seen, but considering how the story was constructed, I suppose it's impossible to expect a traditional 3-act movie to begin with. Haven't quite decided if I should go see Chainsawman in theaters...
I had the pleasure of making a small contribution to this amazing article about Fujii Kaze, written by Christine Terrisse for the LA Times. She did a wonderful interview with Kaze, discussing his life, his experiences in America, and, of course, his new album Prema. It’s an insightful and engaging read, and if you’re a fan of his, I highly recommend checking it out.
Kinda weird how I always have more to say when it comes to girl groups, with HANA and Atarashi Gakko! (offline) being my two longest videos so far. My last video about Chanmina was meant to be a prologue for this video, but self-evidently, I got very invested when writing the script, which turned out rather pleasing so I'm glad.
Might write another post in a couple days cuz there's something exciting I'd like to share.
New video is out! I originally wanted to make a video about HANA, but you really have to tell the tale of Chanmina first for it to work, so there you go.
Watched Peacemaker s2e1 a couple days ago, and now I'm obsessed with Oh Lord by Foxy Shazam.
Can't believe it's been a year since I started this channel. There have been ups and downs, but the only reason it's still alive is thanks to your support! So, thank you!
When I started this channel, I never imagined I’d get to create a dedicated video about my former favorite Japanese artist, but the power of anime truly has no limits. Now that she's becoming one of the hottest singers, it seems like perfect timing.
New video about 'Boku ga Shinou to Omotta no Wa' is out! Plz check it out! It is one of the most impactful Japanese songs in the past decade or so, and I hope this video will do well cuz it's also a pretty special song for me personally.
Side note: LiSA at the comic-con was pretty cool, but would've meant a lot more if the Demon Slayer movie had the same release date as Japan. Although it seems like it's already breaking all sorts of box office records domestically.
Currently still writing the script for my next video, this is one that I really wanna make right by. An important artist and an important song, which was teased in my last video.
Btw went to see Superman last week, twice, it was Terrific.
June's MDOJ is out. YouTube recently removed the mention function when I reply to comments, so I'm not sure if you guys get notifications when I reply. Kinda 困る.
For the next video, I'm gonna talk about a manga turned anime. I've been planning on making a video about it since last November, and finally, it's time.
New video about "Senbonzakura" is out! It's easily one of the most iconic Japanese songs ever, so a fitting start to a new series, "Songs That Changed J-pop", where I can dive in deeper to songs that I would otherwise skim over in Artist-focused videos.
Anecdote: The idea of making this video formed while I was watching MAJ, and saw "Senbonzakura" win Best Vocaloid Culture Song.
