Thank you all for voting and taking part in the poll! A sizable number of you participated, and your choice makes it clear that this series is worth doing. I’m excited to get started on our first Patreon-exclusive podcast series that will focus on “Africa’s Independent Inventions and Lost Technologies.” 🌍✨
This series will explore brilliant innovations and knowledge systems from across the African continent, from ancient metallurgy (my personal favorite), architecture, medicine, and much more. Its the kind of topic that reveals Africa’s genius on its own terms while simultaneously addressing western fiction concerning African people and their history (The other topic you guys were interested in).
I’ll be preparing everything this week so we can launch next week. To gain access, all you need to do is join the $5 tier on Patreon.

As a bonus, supporters will also receive resources alongside the episodes, designed to help you remember the key points and share what you learn with family, friends, or classrooms. I’m truly grateful for this community and can’t wait to dive into this with you.

I’m thinking about starting a Patreon-exclusive podcast series where I do a deep dive into a specific topic in African history. The kind of detail I can’t always fit into YouTube videos. I think it'll be great for those who do long drives, task around the house or other miscellaneous (that's what I use podcast for at least)
Each month would focus on a different theme. I’d share a long-form podcast discussion, pdf guide, sources, and Q&A sessions all on Patreon.
If there doesn’t seem to be enough interest, I’ll hold off but if the interest is there, I'll make it happen for you guys.
If this were to happen which topic would you want to cover first?
(Vote below 👇🏾 and feel free to comment why!)

We did it Guys! 🎉 The Kickstarter is officially over 100% funded!
Because of your incredible support, the illustrated book of African kings will be made! This project exists because you believed in it and I can’t thank you enough! Thank You! A special thank you to the guys over at Playwatch for organizing the campaign and creating what I know is going to be a visual appealing book with African centered content. I’m now putting in the finishing touches to ensure it’s a great resource for our community.
For those who want to contribute there’s still time to show support. If we reach $4,000, we’ll be able to include exclusive bonus goodies in the print copies.
Be sure to support if you'd like to be a part of this:👑

His men called him Dali, meaning “The Very Great.” When African traditions themselves tell us that a king was “Very Great,” our children should grow up knowing his name. Some of you already do, but this is our chance to make sure many more will as well.
We’re a little over 70% funded! Join us in bringing the African Kings book to reality:
