What is this long wall along the road? / 道沿いにあるこの土壁はなんでしょう？

I found these photos on my PC, which I took over a decade ago.

This is the Great Wall of China, located near National Highway 312 in Gansu Province, Western China (likely around Zhangye City).

Going down the road, I kept thinking about what this continuous wall was.
I had no idea until I reached a point where the wall and the road met and saw a signpost that said "Great Wall of China."

It was a pleasant surprise!
It looked nothing like the Great Wall I had always imagined.


10年以上前に撮影した写真ですが、最近PCの中から出てきました。

実はこの壁は中国西部にある甘粛省の国道312号沿い付近（おそらく張掖市付近） の万里の長城。

この辺りを走行中、道路沿いにずっと続く土壁はなんだろうと思っていたら、
道路と壁の交点に万里の長城と示す案内板がありました。
万里の長城と聞いて連想するイメージとかけ離れていたので全く気づきませんでした。

The best campground in Switzerland!

This campground is a parking lot right next to the Diavolezza cable car and Bernina Diavolezza train station at over 2,000 meters above sea level, close to St. Moritz.
Despite being a parking area, it offers this panoramic view!

There are two distinct areas ( pitch 1 and pitch 2), and both areas share the same facilities: just one shower, toilets, and sinks.
You can also access the clean, modern facilities of a larger campground (Camping Morteratsch) just 5 km away.
The reception is also at that campground.

The fees (per person with a car, no electricity)
Pitch 1 (located behind the station, closer to facilities): 39 CHF
Pitch 2 (a part of parking, pavement): 20 CHF

What's incredible is that the 39 CHF pitch includes a return cable car ticket to Diavolezza, a famous observatory for the Pers Glacier.
The ticket alone costs 44 CHF if purchased at the station.

This place was not crowded, even on a weekend when most campsites in St. Moritz were fully occupied. (There were only 10-20 campers in pitch 1, 4 or 5 campers in pitch 2 at the time I stayed on a Saturday, in the end of June)

I will defenitely stay here again when I visit St. Moritz.

今まで泊まったスイスのキャンプ場の中で最高のキャンプ場

キャンプ場はサンモリッツの近く、標高2000mを越えるDiavolezza Cable carとベルニーナ鉄道のBernina Diavolezza駅横のパーキング。
この景色で料金はスイスのキャンプ場としては安い以下の値段（電源なし駐車場、車1台、1人の値段）

Pitch 1 (駅裏, ファシリティに近い): 39 CHF (約7200円)
Pitch 2 (パーキングの駐車枠): 20 CHF (約3700円)

設備はシンプルで、シャワー、トイレ、洗面台が備わったコンテナのみ。
どちらのサイトも同じシャワーとトイレを共用。
宿泊者は5キロ離れた大きなキャンプ場（Camping Morteratsch)のシャワーが利用可能。そちらのシャワー施設は大きくて快適。受付もそのキャンプ場。

驚くことに、39 CHFのサイトは
ペルス氷河の展望台として有名なディアヴォレッツァへのケーブルカー往復券が含まれていてこの値段。 ケーブルカーの駅で購入すると、チケットだけで44 CHF。


サンモリッツの多くのキャンプ場が満室だった週末でも、ここはまったく混雑しておらず。 (6月末の土曜日の夜で20 CHFのサイトには4、5台のキャンパー、39 CHFのサイトには10～20台のキャンパー程度）。

またサンモリッツに訪れたら、確実に宿泊する素晴らしいキャンプ場。

Bonjour! from France!

Had a bit of a challenging start.
The first car had an acceleration issue and the replacement car also had other issues.

Which thumbnail do you prefer? / どのサムネイルが好きですか？

These are the proposed thumbnails for the upcoming video posted this weekend.

Some may notice that I have tested multiple thumbnails for the recent videos.

YouTube recently introduced the A/B test for thumbnails.
You can set 3 thumbnails at max when posting a video.
YouTube displays those thumbnails to viewers and checks which thumbnail has the longest total viewing time for viewers who click on that thumbnail.

This poll is to see if the most preferred thumbnail corresponds to the thumbnail that earns the longest viewing time.

A campsite facing Sogne Fjord. Veganeset Camping, Dragsvik, Norway.

Located in the middle of a small cape, right next to the ferry terminal to Hella and Vangsnes.
The sites have a great view of the mountain over the fjord.

The private shower rooms are behind the sites located next to the shore.
There are more sites on the lawn, which are a bit away from the shower and toilet.

320 NOK (29 USD) for a vehicle

ノルウェーのDragsvikにあるVeganeset Camping

Sogne Fjordに面したキャンプ場 (普通車一台320 NOK(4,500円))
岬に位置しており、Hella及びVangsnesへのフェリー乗り場のすぐ隣。
眺望がよくシャワールームは完全個室で非常に清潔。

波打ち際のこのサイトはすぐ後ろにバスルームがあるが、奥の芝サイトからはやや距離あり。

ちなみにこのような比較的小さなキャンプ場は受付に掲示された電話番号に電話して、宿泊したい旨を伝え、オーナーが出てきて手続きという形が多め。
