hey friend! I'm Skye a first-time mum living in Berlin who loves all things crafts and I'm currenly on a journey to build a handmade wardrobe that's intentional, fashion foward and actually fits my new life.

just wanted to check in on you all. how has your summer been so far?
i've actually been enjoying this summer so much more than in previous years. one of my favourite moments this week was casting on a new project with/for a friend who's learning to knit. she's making so much progress already, and it's been such a joy getting to share a hobby that means so much to me.
also been trying to make a conscious effort to nurture my creativity instead of constantly chasing my weekly posting schedule. because of that, there won't be a video this week 🥲
upon some reflection i've realised that, i create my best work when i'm creating from a full cup, and sometimes that means stepping away for a week or two so i can come back excited with fresh ideas.

happy new week friends! Hope you had a well rested weekend 🫶🏾
lately I’ve been trying to live intentionally and more in the moment in my mothering, creativity, mindfulness, style etc. and it’s been really rewarding. I feel so much clearer and settled within myself. It doesn’t come easy most of the time and I fail a lot but I’m still showing up in all of these areas anyway! also getting a Brick has been so life changing in getting my social media consumption in check! the decrease in anxiety is so real!

i wanted to give you a little update on what i’ve been working on these past couple of weeks. i decided to sew the coe trousers by daughter judy, and i finally finished them this week! i can’t wait to share the results (and a little pattern review) with you on friday.

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind. I’m learning that juggling motherhood and creativity isn’t always easy. I love making videos so much, and I never want it to feel forced or become a source of anxiety, so I’m trying to find a healthier balance.
There won’t be a video this week, but I’ll be back soon. I’m choosing to embrace this season instead of just pushing through it.
