I am uploading a video based on FOCUS 10 by the Monroe Institute, it is a guided meditation to a mind awake body asleep state. It's not sleep paralysis, don't question yourself if you are in it or not, it'll get better with practice. This state can used for virtually any technique of manifestation, you can even directly shift from this state, for some it will take some practice though.

State Akin to Sleep is a manifestation technique coined by Neville Goddard. It is arguably the greatest manifestation technique for many reasons I can list. It’s important to note that the power comes from yourself not the technique. This method is often greatly misunderstood by the majority of people, leading to strain, insomnia, and very often leading people to quit looking for easier methods. However the learning curve to this method is not great, it does require a little diligence but less than you have be lead to believe, you see many people claiming to repeat their scenes/affirmations for hours before bed non-stop before learning the technique, I honestly believe that does a lot more harm than anything because it makes it seem like an exclusive club that requires massive time investment for initiation. This is far from the truth in reality.
State Akin to Sleep is a state that literally anyone who is able to fall asleep whether it’s briefly or long enters, it is a transitional state between waking consciousness and sleep. So literally everyone has entered this state hopefully everyday if you’re not an insomniac. Some people like to refer to a state akin to sleep equivalent to hypnagogia you experience in the state right before sleep if you are aware, I agree with this. The reason why a state akin to sleep is so effective in impressing the subconscious mind is because in the transitional period between waking and sleep (sats/hypnagogia) you seal the instruction for your subconscious to manifest the world that you are currently experiencing. Everyone is unconsciously practicing this method to manifest the world they are currently experiencing whether good or bad, the goal of Neville’s teaching is to become aware of this process so you may control it. In the state akin to sleep, your resistance to your desire dissolves and even your visualization will quickly become life-like with minimum effort, once you are in SATs it will be very easy for you to fall asleep during affirmations and your scene because you are quite literally in the process of falling asleep.
Alright so how can you use this, we’ll it’s actually quite simple you need to start observing the process of falling asleep then intervene with your scene or affirmation. Now this sounds extremely easy but it can actually be harder than it needs to be these days. The reason why this is the case is because we have many distractions in regards to social media, negative subliminal messaging in entertainment, etc. In Neville’s time people's minds weren't consuming content constantly, so many people I know cannot keep their concentration greater than 10 seconds even if they’re interested in something. It’s actually ridiculous how bad things have become. It's also one reason why subliminals are less effective for many people.
Alright so what do I recommend to slowly rectify some of the things to make SATs more effective for you, for one I recommend that you minimize time on social media and abstain from pornography, how to do this depends on your for me I just delete it from my phone, if I really need it I’ll just log onto my computer. I also recommend incorporating some sort of daily meditation practice, no specific time you can start off with 5 minutes, I’d even recommend any sort of guided meditations that resonate with you. Another thing is it’s important to have a sort of wind down before bed, I would turn off all electronics at least an hour before bed and do something else where you are able to slow down your mind, for me at 11PM I turn it all off electronics, brush my teeth, shower, sometimes I read a book, or whatever other non-stimulating activity comes to mind. Lastly I recommend having a consistent sleep schedule, so waking up and going to bed at the same time everyday is HIGHLY recommended, for me it’s very easy to fix a sleep schedule within a week by waking up by alarm at the same time everyday.
Alright so you made these adjustments and now you wish to start practicing SATs. How SATs can look and feel can actually differ quite a bit from person to person, but hypnagogia is a common phenomenon that occurs that is pretty consistent for everyone, it can be visual, auditory, and physical. Once I am feeling tired and ready for sleep I head to my bed and immobilize myself in a comfortable position, I like to lay on my back in the corpse position with my hands upward in at a 45 degree angle, you can do it in literally anyway you desire, the first time I realized I entered SATs was actually on my stomach after I woke up in the middle of the night. I was literally seeing and feeling my body transition to sleep aware and this was when I received my AHA moment where I finally realized what SATs really were. Once I adjust myself and am comfortable I focus on the back of my eyelids and start counting my breathes like 1 in, 2 out, the outbreath is always an even number so it allows you to make sure you are focused, also when I am counting my breath I make sure to breath as slowly as comfortable the reason for this we are trying to pretend with are sleep basically, that’s why we immobilize the body(doesn’t have to be perfect). The slow breathing slows the nervous system down greatly as if we are sleeping, while the counting ensures our brain is staying awake and aware of the process. There is no specific number you have to count you just go by feel, last night by the time I reached 100 my eyelids felt very heavy even though mentally I felt awake, then I started affirming for my desire, I immediately started feeling energy throughout my body and vague geometric shapes on the back of my eyelids becoming stronger. This will continue until you fall asleep suddenly.
Now there’s actually many different ways to enter SATs that you can look into, and also the way you experience SATs can be different, so please don’t overly read into my experience to judge that it’s working for you.
