Three strikes... I'M OUT! I do apologize for this, but I have to take what I hope will be a brief hiatus from the channel.

1) In March and April, I got sick and developed laryngitis. I used up my backlog of videos and kept on with the channel.

2) In May and June, it was too hot to record until the AC was switched on (not under my control), and my backlog was still rather slim. I missed a day here and there, but managed to keep the current LPs running (although I wasn't able to start my 4th LP, Asylum).

3) Now my mic crapped out. I ordered one and it isn't working properly. I ordered another, and it should arrive on Monday.

I'm electing to take off a few weeks after a working mic to get caught up with the backlog again. I've been wanting to start Asylum since it came out in March, and have been unable to do so because of all this.

If only two of these things happened, I would be fine. But it's three strikes and I am out. I am sorry for this, and I'll be doing all I can to get everything back up and running.

Baldur's Gate II is not happening today, but most likely will return on Thurs, May 8th. The reason for this is that I got really sick a few weeks ago and lost my voice. I was out of commission for about two weeks. That normally would be okay since I have a backlog of videos set up for just such an event. The problem here is that my backlog was almost depleted once my voice returned, and then it got too hot in my apartment to record.

The AC hasn't been turned on yet (NOT up to me, unfortunately), and the window open means too much noise, and the fan blowing on me also means too much noise. I was able to record a few Dread Delusion vids, but then it got hot again, and here we are. It's cooling down though! All I need is a few vids to last me a couple weeks and then the AC will be turned on. My apologies.

FYI to all Broodlings out there! One of the weekend slots is empty. It's supposed to be filled with videos of Senscape's ASYLUM. It came out last week (delayed a week from the original date), but I ended up working three 12-hour days in a row and just couldn't get to it. Now I've installed it and the intro has no sound at all. The in-game sound is fine, just the intro is completely silent. I'm sure it's not supposed to be that way! I've emailed the developer, and will be searching for any fix in the days to come. In any case, my apologies, and I hope to have the first ASYLUM video up on Sat 3/29. Let the third time be the charm!

I guess nobody cares for me reading the in-game books of Dread Delusion? The last six books (books 3 - 8) have ZERO likes. I want to keep uploading them, there's a few more to go, but that would hurt my algorithm with all these videos that have no likes... :/

CHANNEL UPDATE!

I was going to make a video about this, but literally ran out of time.

1) Starfield will remain on HIATUS for a while longer. I apologize if anyone was looking forward to it's return (and it will return!), but I'm jumping into another game called Dread Delusion at the moment, which should be nowhere near as long as Starfield. What is Dread Delusion? The first video goes up TODAY (Tues Nov 12), so you'll get to check it out shortly. This game came across my radar, and I just had to get into it. I did get my SSD back from AData, and I'll be reinstalling Windows 10 back onto it soon. Starfield should return after DD is done.

2) My book readings for Daggerfall and Song of the Ocean are complete, with all books read! I did enjoy reading through them all, but I'm quite glad and satisfied that those are completed now.

3) Speaking of Song of the Ocean itself, we're getting near the end of the game! It will wrap up in January, and Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom will debut on Jan 25, 2025. I plan on having a few episodes up in "early access" for Patreon members before that date. Phantasy Star IV will immediately follow the end of III. I'm psyched to get into those two games (which I'd previously played back in the day, but never finished) and wrap up the series.

4) I had four kidney stones removed last week. All seems to be going MUCH better now (knock on wood) after a month of hell. I was on heavy painkillers when I recorded Dread Delusion Parts 1 - 3, so I kinda drifted off a few times during the recording. Nothing major though. My month of Stone Hell did impact the channel somewhat, which is why on many days, all I had going up was a short book reading video. That should improve going forward.

So far, I've read 883 in-game books for the internets. WHOA!

I'm still putting up book readings for Daggerfall and Song of the Ocean.

I've read all the books in Skyrim, Enderal, Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch, A Tear of Vermillion, Baldur's Gate I and II, Ambermoon (which only had four books in one area of the game, I would've skipped the videos had I known), and Beyond Skyrim: Bruma! I predict my next game for book readings will be: Baldur's Gate III.
