As a wine color commentator, I hunt the world for the best wines and try to give you the inside scoop as a savvy wine consumer. I am not part of the wine or restaurant industry...just an amateur consumer who has a passion for wines. My wine reviews are written for the consumer and I don't just sample the wines I review...I taste them over a few days with different food. I try to give you my honest opinion on each wine I review. I believe a wine without a story is just another beverage. I don't spend very much time on the technical details of each wine or tasting notes (as this is quite personal) but I try to tell you what makes each wine I review unique and why you should buy the wine (or not). I will reflect back on other wines I taste often so as to give the viewer an overall wine experience. I will mostly focus on premium high end wines but occasionally I will review entry or value wines if they are too good to pass up.

Finally, Trophy Wine Hunter is coming back to @whistlercornucopia! Whistler Cornucopia, now in its 29th year, is the premier fall food & drink festival. It runs from November 6-16, 2025 but I will be in Whistler November 14-16, 2025. Many events are already sold out so get your tickets asap. If you watched my video, I bought this Oenophilia product off Amazon and it does not work. Out of 6 labels, it only fully lifted 1 label. When I tried to return it, it kept on looping so I could not return. But luckily I contacted Amazon and they refunded my money immediately. I also bought a wine cork board from this same company and quality so so. As such I won’t be buying anything from this company but big 👍👏 to @amazonca. They back their products 100% and iron out problems immediately

I finally reached 1K subscribers on Instagram! Why I am making such a big deal when some Instagrammers can reach this milestone easily? I am so grateful that so many people I don’t know and have never met have decided to follow content produced by a 50+ old dude who really just wants to share what I learn about wines. Palavani 2022 Saperavi Qvevri. Tasted blind @chezcelinerestaurant . I thought it was Old World and perhaps Languedoc or Cahors wine but in fact, it is a Georgian wine. Grape type is Saperavi and producer is Palavani. Black olives on the nose with dried dark fruit and cassia on the palate. Medium bodied and not overly tannic. Easy to pair with food. #georgianwine #wines #winelover

Kudos to @watsons.wine. A few months ago, I bought a 2003 Port from Watsons Wine where the cork was brittle to a point that was unacceptable. I posted and Ken, e-commerce sales operations manager reached out to me immediately, refunded my money and gave me a future credit in the same amount I spent. With that credit, I purchased R Lopez de Heredia 2013 Vina Bosconia Reserva, which is an exceptional drinking wine. I love doing business with wine merchants who care about their reputation. Everyone gets caught up getting the best deal but you need businesses who will deal with you fairly when something goes wrong. So I am fan of buying wine at Watsons Wine. #wine #winelover

For those in BC, Richmond Brighhouse @bcliquorstores has in stock @donmelchorwine 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Puente Alto Vineyard, @wine_spectator #1 Wine of the Year 2024. I think they only have around 20 bottles for $205.99 per bottle. Please check vintage as some stores have 2020 vintage and while still good but not wine of the year #wineoftheyear2024
