I do not usually critique other creators videos publicly because usually I do not care but we are going to clear this up.
Posting information on a video that is blatantly incorrect should not be tolerated.
Content Creators are meant to serve the greater populace and also be held to a higher standard as far as information dissemination.

There is a technical
misunderstanding regarding how ability damage shards calculate.
While they are a final multiplier to your total damage (acting as a separate 'bucket' from Ability Strength), multiple shards stack additively within that specific bucket.
I had previously tested this when archon shards came out but for the sake of proper information I went ahead and tested it out again. Here are the stats and resources I used for the cleanest testing.

Base Oberon Prime - no mods at all, 2 tau radiation shards with ability damage on rad status and then 1 tau rad and 1 tau violet shard modded for ability damage on radiation and electrified.
Kuva Nukor modded for negative damage with only radiation on first test then radiation and electric (negative damage using Anemic agility at - 15% dmg, Hollow Point R1 with -5% dmg and a Riven with
-81.5% damage so as not to affect damage #) Rad progenitor and then Electric progenitor for rad/electric only.

Lvl 230 bombard eximus
Base smite damage: 847,207
2 radiation shards smite damage:1,101,368
1 rad, 1 electric smite damage: 1,101,368

The formula for the total multiplier is: Total Damage = [Base × Strength] × (1 + Shard A + Shard B + Shard C + Shard D)If you use one Electric and one Radiation shard (15%
each), the math is 1 + 0.15 + 0.15 = 1.30x
total. It is not 1.15 x 1.15.

This would be broken.

Because they all modify the same "Ability Damage" stat, they share the same additive pool regardless of the elemental trigger required.

Sticking to the same ability damage ability archon shards matters for wholly 2 reasons:

1. Consistency: You only need to proc one status to hit the full bonus, whereas splitting types requires multiple distinct status procs on a single target to reach the same ceiling.

2. Diminishing Returns: Since they stack additively with each other, there is no
'multiplicative' benefit to diversifying the shard colors.

The idea that different colors multiply off each other AND THEN multiply off of ability damage is a math error in recent guides(most recently in Moug’s Voruna video), but in-game testing confirms they follow standard additive stacking rules for the same stat type.

I hope this helps illuminate proper testing and mathematical equation breakdowns.

Content creators should be held to a higher standard instead of just being able to say whatever they want in a video and it being accepted as law when it is so easily able to be tested and showcased.

Just because you make videos, doesn’t mean it is ok to spread incorrect math that other players may then try to use as fact in other places.

CHANNEL UPDATE!

Some of you may know but I’ve had some computer issues that bricked me up for the past month and a half.

Culminated into a system wide kernel corruption from new the Microsoft update.
Had to do a complete wipe and reinstall.
Thanks for that Microslop.

Good news is I’m finally back up.
Bad news is I lost MOST of my programs and now have to completely rebuild.
All my projects are wiped so I’ll be having to rebuild from ground up.

It won’t be long before I’m back up to perfect working order as thankfully I keep a full recovery kit on backup but more than likely won’t have any videos out this week.

I just wanted you all to know for those who have been expecting certain build guides.

Thank you so much for your patience and I apologize for you all having to wait while I deal with all of this nonsense.
